Was decent Korean food. Everything was right amount of sweat and spicy. The sides were delish too. Nothing to complain about the fried rice either. Everything was right texture too.

Very very tasty! We got the veg Dolsot (stone bowl of bibimbap, I think) with tofu and WOW! Even the various side vegetables were so good! I’ve been to a few Korean restaurants, and this is by far the best one I’ve ever tasted. Everything is so fresh just right with seasonings and pickings and oil and textures. We didn’t leave any food on the plates or bowls, licked the spoons, and agreed that it was really really good.

Outrageously expensive for a really basic rice plate/food. This is insane to pay $31 for 5 little pieces of meat and a big cup of rice… vegetables are barely there… Frankly, ending paying $100 for a cheap lunch composed of 3 minis rice plate featuring few pieces of meat is a scam… this is not a 1star Michelin! Normally, i should pay half of this in a normal Korean place…. Don’t blame the city or inflation.

I had a really delicious, mildly spicy tofu stew with purple rice on the side. Our group ordered a very tasty assortment of pickled vegetables as an appetizer. Everything tasted so good!

Vegetarian options: I don't know all the words for everything, but this is really a vegetarian restaurant with the option to add meat for a price.

Got take-out, they were busy so it took a while longer than expected but the area is good to walk around.

The food amount is small compared to the price. The short rib large is a joke. The 9 pieces is cut in half. Avoid this place and go somewhere else. Your money will go farther elsewhere.

Everything was good, from food to the service. I got the iron works- chicken and purple rice. Very tasty and piping hot and fresh. My friend got the pan fried rice, which she enjoyed. The sides were delish, refreshing. Love the presentation. Service was prompt and the place was clean.

Been coming here for a while now and Purple Rice has become a go-to spot for a warm and comforting meal. Definitely one of the better Korean restaurants in the city, their soft tofu soup ranks with some of my favorites from LA's Koreatown. Solid sides and appetizers, the wings and the pancakes really stand out. So glad to have this place in the neighborhood!

Wheelchair accessibility: Easy entrance and all the tables should be able to accommodate folks in wheelchairs

I think I could eat Purple Rice's Veggie Soft Tofu stew every day for the rest of my life. I've tried a number of Korean food places in the city and this has by far been the best and most consistently delicious. They're so accommodating with vegetarian/vegan modifications, service is always super quick and kind, and even the takeout is super high quality/great quantity. Their rice cakes jap chae are also delicious! Hope Purple Rice is around forever.
