The BBQ pork bun was cold and not a lot of flavor, generally yuck. The ramen was mediocre, not noteworthy and I felt like I had a headache from MSG after. All for a higher price than other spots nearby…

Work on quality.

Both ramen bowls my friend I ordered had no flavor in the broth, nor the noodles whatsoever. The portions for proteins in the ramen, such as pork or shrimp, were laughable for the price. The matcha latte was so sweet it tasted of frosting or fondant icing - not that I asked for a sweetened matcha. I also have been left with a very upset stomach, which I've never experienced from the kind of food I had. Overall, food was perplexingly flavorless, the service was *fine* seeming somewhat scrambled. The seating arrangements where odd, with no tables for two meaning you likely will sit with another group. Go somewhere that is less of a tourist trap and worth the price.

Pretty rude person seating us. Decided to leave. Too bad. Heard the ramen was good.

Friendly staff, clean store and only thing I am not satisfied is rice taste not right for Japanese food, a bit dry.

I was very disappointed in my visit to this restaurant. First off the employees were disorganized and got our order wrong even though we repeated it multiple times, perhaps it was too loud in the building. The seating is strange since there’s no table for one or two, people with groups less than three end up taking space that could be used for a bigger group- you’ll most likely be sharing a table with strangers because of this. The plates don’t even match, it looks as if these people grabbed bowls from their own kitchen. The bathroom was dirty and it was clear how disorganized and messy this restaurant is. I would recommend going to a restaurant inside the Japan town mall if you’re looking for good ramen.

Yamadaya used to be my go-to place for ramen. The last three times we’ve gone it’s disappointed. Something changed. The quality of ingredients has decreased, the service has worsened. I’m out.

We had to get ramen while we were in Japantown. The ramen here was delicious. I got the Spicy Ramen with medium on the spice level. I wanted to play it safe since my friends make fun of me that I can only handle “white boy spicy.” The broth was super flavorful and complex.

My friend got the Wantan Ramen since he’s a sucker for chicken-dashi broth. He loved it!

It wasn’t busy since we were here on a Thursday night. They are centrally located in Japantown and I recommend coming by to satisfy your ramen cravings while you’re here. 🍜

Ramen is OK, nothing special that distinguish it from other Ramen restaurants.

Love the picture frames on the wall with Japanese animes.

However, the ramen is extremely subpar from the competitors next to it, and the service is a lot to desire for (no helping getting highchair, slow to respond, an impatient middle age Asian lady.)

The recommended ramen tastes bland, topping is quite lackluster, chashu and pork belly are simply not good. Egg is quite good.

The overall experience has been bad, while the menu are still priced steeply.

Strongly not recommend to visit here when there’s vast and much better alternatives next to it.

My waitress was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere isn’t anything too special but it’s nice and has good views. But I came for the ramen and well….it was flavorless! I ordered the “spicy” ramen and asked for it to be “spicy” according to their scale…it’s not spicy in any way at all. The only egg yolk also is a strange brown color.

A beer is $9…the restaurant downstairs is advertising the same beer for $1.

Overall this was a big disappointment and a waste of $35

I want my money back :(((
