So didn’t get very far at this place, asked the guy at the counter about lunch specials. Clearly says everything is on special, yet he hands me the regular lunch menu. I ask him if it includes rice or a Naan, which she says yes. Then hands me the bill with extra charges for 2 naans. I politely inform him that we have just had a conversation about what it includes ? I mean less than 30 seconds ago, where his English skills were not so great. All of a sudden his English is really really good. He said already put it in the register so you have to pay it ? this place obviously thrives on ripping off people it feels like it can get away with it. Adding extra charges.

So be careful when you’re asking questions because they’ll play the game of foreigner, and all of a sudden, when it comes time to bring up your bill, they claim that you were informed of it. LIES!!!

I had to walk out on this place not even want to rate the food since the experience was so bad In just communication.

Food was great, the combo gives you some nice variety if you want many different dishes. Chicken korma was delish, meat cooked perfect and moist. Nothing was too spicy but it was not bland. Staff was friendly, and service was fast. The older gentleman there is really welcoming. Yeah the restaurant is not anything fancy, and it is very hot inside (today was a heatwave), but the price is right and the restaurant is filled with locals and natives of the cuisine. If I had to note anything, the curries are oiler than I'm used to, but that oil tastes good sopped up with naan.

This is the best regional (Pakistani/Northern Indian) food I've ever had. I ordered the lamb thali to go, and everything was packaged well with generous portions. The flavors were incredible, showing real care in every detail, from the chutney to the curry to the preparation and presentation. I also ordered a side of the veggie samosas, and they were also fantastic.

It was so good that I returned the next day for the same meal, adding a mango lassi, which was the best I've ever had.

The owners add to the experience by making you feel genuinely welcome, which is rare these days. I wish I could eat here every day!!!

They gave me non veg curry when I had ordered for vegetarian curry. Being a vegetarian this was traumatic. Wouldn’t suggest anyone to risk eating Indian vegetarian food here.

My Desi husband who grew up around authentic Pakistani food loved this place. Words cannot even describe how succulent and flavorful the butter chicken curry was or the perfectness of the soft cheesy naan. The lamb sheesh kabob tasted homemade and was juicy, flavorful, and well spiced 10/10. In addition, the staff are kind and generous. It was lovely to see them handing out free hot tea to a man in need who passed by.

I am visiting from Pakistan and this is second time here in San Francisco. Wanted to eat Halal food. Red Chilli came up in search at nearest to our hotel (The Westin at the Union Square).

Pleasant to found out that the owners are Pakistanis based of Attock, Pakistan.

We ordered chicken karahi, garlic and butter naan, tandoori fish, mango lassi, the whole coconut with water.

The food was delicious. We even scratched the karahi for the masala.

The owner was so humble and kept smiling and asking if everything is alright.

The dine-in area is a little crampy (but we visited Saturday night). But they did great in accommodating us.

When we paid the bill, the owner said, have some tea please. I said how should I pay for it?

And he told us that tea is FREE all day from the restaurant.

A staple Indonesian Indian restaurant. No frills down to earth place full of local Indian community. ( that’s how you know it’s good) No millennials/ gen z and their insta foodie accounts. Just good food. Good portions great flavour and a variety of options. I get the Katmandu wrap to go with my dine in order. It’s that good. Don’t fall for the fancy places that Yelp tell you to go. For honest family owned business go here.
