Very disappointed...I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately we had a poor experience here. We were going to a show at Orpheum theatre nearby and thought this would be a good option to add to our rotation of theatre restaurants. The space and the ambience were beautiful but the service was likely the worst I have ever experienced in SF. We had multiple "servers", none of them communicated with each other, so one took our order, then 10 min later another comes by to take our order. Our food took over 30 minutes to come out and about 20 min in, I let the server know we had to leave at 7pm to walk to the theatre. At 6:45pm we still didn't have our food! Finally, part of our order came out at around 6:53pm! We promptly asked for our check and asked them to cancel the 2nd part of our order and at 7:05pm, we still didn't have our check and had to ask the other "server" for our check again. We also had asked the server to separate out one of my friends items because she needed to expense it, but of course that didn't happen...all around, it was a mess and we ended up running to the theatre and I was hungry because all I got to eat was 2 pieces of chicken from my friend's plate and 1 piece of broccolini!
Awesome spot for pre-theater cocktails and food. The tuna carpaccio was divine. And the fried chicken was definitely worth the hype.
Meh. Had a show at the Warfield and this place is around the corner so decided to try it. Very nice and airy inside with glass walls and what looked like a nice outdoor area should you go in September/October (fog). Looked at the menu prior and it's not a food destination; this place is a hang with people and have cocktails. Ordered the chicken and skirt steak frites. Chicken was slightly overdone and the biscuits were dry. The steak wasn't bad but don't come here hungry. We were early so getting a table inside wasn't an issue but the staff having to go in and out a door next to our table meant we left our coats on. I was expecting more but in truth, I DID look at the place online and still went, so... If you're a young, hip type that want's a view and a drink before a show, yeah, stop by.
It was a lovely way to spend the evening. The staff attentive. The food delicious and the view surprising.
Love this location and the food and drinks were great! The chicken and biscuits were fabulous, though best shared as it's a lot of food. We also loved the burger, moist and very tasty. Unfortunately, the service was slow, and they seemed shorthanded. We had a show to attend and were cutting it close though we were there for 1.5 hrs. Hopefully this was an off night as it was way too long to wait for drinks.
Service was excellent. We had the Korean chicken and the Royal burger. The chicken was very crunchy which was good, but also a little dry and over fried. The burger was delicious perfectly cooked. We ate on the rooftop which was nice. Probably would have been more enjoyable later when the sun had went down.
Loved the experience and the food. Service was very slow but it looked like they were short staffed. Everyone was extremely kind and I can't wait to go back!
Beautiful rooftop restaurant with good food. The portions were a little smaller than expected for the cost. However, the quality was fantastic. They are definitely short on staff and some of the crew was less than friendly, but overall a good experience and I will go back.
Beautiful outside roof deck. Quiet and nice ambiance. Recommend and would go back. Great place to eat if you are going to a show at the Golden Gate theatre, which is just around the corner and easy to walk to. This place is easy to miss unless you know it's there because it's in the Timbri Hotel.
Although the neighborhood is a bit rough, this spot is a gem. Every server was amazing. Food was good —not a ton of options but definitely something for everyone. Our cocktails were great too. This was THE perfect place for a quick bite and drink before going to The Golden Gate Theater.

Wonderful rooftop terrace, dropped in for cocktails and appetizers post theater, and we had a lovely time in a great setting with great service. The menu doesn't really lend itself to this occasion, not easily sharable but we did enjoy what we had - although it ended up a rather eclectic mix of dishes! Staff were lovely and the cocktails were excellent!
The view! What a treat to have a garden on top of a high rise. Fantastic.! Friendly service. I recommend the fried chicken.
The service was hard to get. My reservation was for 11:30 int he Solarium and there were no tables. Coffee was delayed until well after food, and then two different servers brought us coffee. The bread basket did not contain the description of what was on the menu, and the potatoes on the omelet plate were cold. The omelet was excellent, and the view was great the patio was warm even on a nice day though it did seem as if they had some kinks to work out in the service timing.
Even with a reservation no indoor table was available so our only choice was outside. First seated at a low table, where we waited 20 minutes for a glass of water. Another more comfortable table became available so we asked to be moved. We then waited another 20 minutes for someone to come take our order. To wait 40 minutes with nothing but water is truly unacceptable. We even explained that we were going to the theater and were on a time schedule, which didn't seem to help. Their saving grace was the food was excellent.
I made a reservation for a group of 7 guests 3.5 weeks prior through Open Table. When we arrived it seemed like we were a surprise and were told we could sit outside on a drizzly, cold albeit lovely deck, with 3 elderly patrons in our group. We were there for brunch and were offered seating at at fire pit with no table top for dinning. We decided to wait for a table in doors. They did find a way to seat us indoors 15 minutes after our reservation time. We were given 2 menus for 7 people. We got water right away but it took 10 minutes to get our orders taken for beverages. It took an additional 20 minutes for all of us to get our coffees and 1 Bloody Mary. Half of my latte was spilled in the saucer when it was served to me. 1 person had a latte that was all foam, no espresso. We waited 15 minutes for the bread baskets to come out. Our mains came out together and they were fine for the most part. We were charged for 2 additional beverages we did not order but at this point we needed to head out because our show was starting just a block away. We did our best to give gentle reminders about beverages that had not yet arrived. The irony is that for a room that held 10 tables and an outdoor space that was not near capacity there were about 6 staff who were literally there spinning circles trying to figure out what to do, where to go and a couple that seemed to intentionally hide off to the side. It felt like we might have been there on opening day given the lack of organization and coordination. I don't normally take the time to review negative experiences because I do want to give places the benefit of the doubt. However our entire table was really disappointed in the experience, especially given the price. We also interacted with a table next to us that was struggling to get the servers attention and get refills on coffee and witnessed 2 different people from the patio complain. My hope is that management sees this and address the service challenges soon.
