Nice coffee but takes a very long time even when not busy, and it’s expensive for small portions
So here is the thing, people who work here choose to work here. They aren’t forced or maybe they are because it’s the only reason I can fathom why I just experienced awful customer service. Be personable ladies, welcome your guest and don’t act as if they are a nuisance for expecting you to do your job. They were focus on the live band outside and talking amongst each other than giving good customer service. For almost $10 for a cup of coffee, you all need to refresh your training on customer service.
Late was great but brownie donuts 🍩 was not that special

One of the Staff was very rude and rolled her eyes at me just because she’s having a bad day. Coffee was okay.

Don't offer matcha if you only want to make a good coffee. Worst matcha I've had in years. Just tasted like milk.
Don't go here. Go across the street to Boulangere for coffee and pastries. You can get a mocha 2 dollars less and wonderful pastries. No 8.5 dollar mocha. I found RItual on Yelp. Arrived and waited for 3-4 minutes. The posted hours were 7 am to 7 pm. The manager the walks up to me at 1040 and asks me to leave the store. It was the most bizarre unprofessional thing I have ever seen. The atmosphere at Ritual is terrible as well. Walk across the street to Boulangerie and you will find paradise. Never coming to Ritual ever.

So I really like the vibe of ritual coffee on octavia street, it's very small and cute, but ritual coffee has many locations, but this one is my favorite out of all of them in the city.

Worst mocha I have ever had. Took 4 sips and threw it out. I mean, I’ve had mochas that are just bland and lacking chocolate flavor, but this thing was rank bro. Tasted burnt and bitter and not in an artisanal fancy chocolate way but in a gross over steamed cardboard way. I mean, I even tried to stir the thing, thinking maybe the chocolate was settled to the bottom, and it didn’t help (sidebar, they have no stir sticks, just straws). The worst part was the drink was $8. Ugh.
Sincerely, an unhappy barista.

I walked for over 30 minutes to come here to get a pour over and chill by the park. After trying to order the barista said “we can’t make one because it’ll take too long”. Pretty wild lol why offer the drink on your menu if you don’t want to make it? I’ve never had this happen at any coffee shop in my life, pretty big waste of time. I don’t think it’s fair to decline a drink just because you don’t feel like making it.

The service was excellent, lovely people. Unfortunately the coffee (mine and wife's) tasted like lightly roast dirty dishrag. Oh well

Super unfriendly. When I say hi, you say hi back is the very bare minimum. A smile would be nice. You’re expecting tips?

Great location in Hayes, great vibe, you can get your coffee and walk around the neighborhood. But the coffee itself is nothing special for the hype. It was a bit overpriced. I got a Shakerato and it was just an iced latte with a marketing touch.

This coffee isn’t cheap. It’s $5 for a drip. In LA I can get incredible organic flavorful drip for $3.25 & a free refill. Why no free refill? & if your $7 pour over is tasteless. Very awkward to return… so you’re stuck for $7. Customer service varies a lot. Many times I feel disappointed.
