The restaurant claims to have Armenian heritage, although there is nothing Armenian on the menu. Food was not good at all, unfortunately. We spend $100 and came out from it still hungry. Service- we were never once asked if we need anything, not attentive at all. I am not sore if they will stay in business long. Kabob came out Luke warm and lamb kabob, in particular, did not have any taste nor flavor. I am quite disappointed.

Fabulous service and fabulous food. Our food came out promptly and each bite was bursting with flavor. Enjoyed the different types of wines and variations. Will be coming back
We really enjoyed our dinner here! The service was amazing — attentive, helpful and very professional.
Great recommendations and help with our dietary restrictions.
The food and wine were both outstanding.
Thank you Roaming Goat team!

The food was good and the service friendly. The interior has many interesting pieces of art. The only criticism is that they were understaffed. One waitress with ten tables is too much.

Great Mediterranean style mezes and amazing pita!! The Roaming Goat was very packed and loud when we came, but we were able to be seated in the garden patio to wait on bar seating. Our server was great and made sure to bring a heater to where we sat at so we were not freezing cold outside.

Roaming Goat is a great new addition to the San Francisco wine bar scene. I sat at the bar and really enjoyed the atmosphere, lively without being overwhelming, with a cool, welcoming vibe. The service was solid and the food was a standout; delicious and perfect for sharing with drinks. Overall, it’s got that mix of good energy, tasty bites, and a relaxed bar setting that makes you want to come back. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!

I’ve been a frequent guest at this wine bar and have always enjoyed the food, but my last visit was disappointing. On a quiet Sunday afternoon, my friend and I sat at the bar, yet the bartender—who identified himself as the owner—rushed us throughout the meal. He repeatedly asked if we were ready to order and later if we were finished, ultimately bringing the check without being asked. Despite the bar being nearly empty, the atmosphere felt pressured and unwelcoming, which left a negative impression.

The service was really good, the food was great but the portions are so small! Even the ones that say medium are so so small and pricey for what you get 😔 we were in a group of 4 and had to order so much food! The burrata i felt like it was 1/4 of a burrata tbh.
The wine is also good and they had a sommelier

A highly disappointing experience with the host of the restaurant. We were treated with indifference and then plain rudeness upon asking the host to give us the table inside. They had a number of empty tables available. Our reservation was for the outside but space was very crowded and we asked to be seated indoors. We were ignored completely. We showed plenty of reservations still available on open table. The host did not lift a finger to try and accommodate us. He was very direct and suggested we find another restaurant. Both host and another host reeked of marijuana. Such attitude toward customers is appalling and I would never want to go back or recommend this restaurant to any of my friends. I hope the owner of the restaurant sees this review as the host himself is a manager. I am not sure that they are interested in making a good impression on their customers. We never got to try their food.
