Was sad to see it's under new ownership, and the menu has been revised to eliminate many of our family favorites like ravioli, pasta with meatballs and marinated chicken sandwiches.
Amazing and solid in every way

The breakfast was absolutely delicious! We had meat omelette and veggie omelette and it was so good! Much veggie and meat. We also had a Pancake and it was the best of our whole trip! Also good coffee ☺️ not the cheapest location, but absolutely worth it!

Firstly the atmosphere is so cozy! Great music, low light, just very comfortable all around. The food is amazing. Feels like nonna’s house. The grilled polenta and antipasto salad are to die. Service was also amazing and prompt. Highly recommend!

This place is so wonderful, my beautiful wife I come here often now. It’s one of our favorite spots!
The food is cooked to a high quality and each dish has a unique touch. The owner and staff are very attentive and friendly. The restaurant is also full of classic vintage, many of which are specific to SF.
I highly recommend.

Liked the atmosphere and friendly staff. But disappointed with a Pasta Bolognese. I was puzzled when the waitress asked me if I wanted meatballs with that dish. Why Bolognese should be full of meat? Once I was served I understood why. It was more like marinara sauce. Even beyond the missing meat, it lacked taste e.g., garlic, oregano, etc.
Great comfort Italian place for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Delicious, good portions and lovely service.

Food was delicious! Spot on! The place has an awesome old school feel. Chicken Picatta was on point, Fried Calamari was on point, Spumoni was on point, even the cappuccino was on point. Service was amazing, the new owner was friendly, and remarkably hard working. The same can be said for the cook and the rest of the wait staff. Did I say the food was delicious? Cause it is. I haven't had Italian this good since New York.

This is a solid Mom & Pop place in a simple, industrial setting, prompt, friendly service and a concise menu of good pasta specialties. Servings, even the half orders are generous, hot and well sauced.

Rocco's Cafe is an absolute gem in San Francisco! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The food is nothing short of spectacular—authentic Italian dishes that are packed with flavor and made with care. I highly recommend trying the Polenta with Cheese and Sauce—it's deliciously comforting! The Chicken Marsala is also outstanding, hands down the best I've had, even compared to dishes in Italy. The service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall experience. Whether you're in for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, Rocco’s Cafe never disappoints. Definitely worth a visit if you're in San Francisco!

Highly recommend this place. It is the second time for me and my husband, the food is so fresh, and the food is the best homemade-style food you could ask for. The place is really cozy and the people there are amazing! We ordered Rocco’s fav frittata, strawberry French toast, a shrimp omelette, and of course a mimosa!

The food here can be described as mediocre at best. Both my wife and I did not enjoy our food but it was edible. I would definitely not come here again.
On top of that they were playing music so loud that we were unable to have a conversation.
