long overdue review - i used to come here all the time but have since moved away. bruno is so talented and creative and all of his food is excellent.

the fusion pastry items especially are must-try: mochissant, mochi beignet, crurro... and they come in different flavors! chocolate, matcha, strawberry, etc. there are no misses

i don't even like sandwiches and his meatloaf sandwich (with homemade bread!) is so so good, i ordered it often.
extra shoutout to the irish sausage roll

the cafe is modest and unassuming but there's lots of room to sit and it's nice and quiet.

bruno is incredibly kind and outgoing, lovely to chat with, and will most likely remember you if you stop by more than once. he works really hard and cares so much about what he does. please support his business in my stead! i'll try to visit again soon!

A throwback cafe with a HUGE selection of very top quality pastries. Seriously, the owners here can out-bake the fancier, buzzier places in the city. Portuguese egg tarts, strawberry mochi-croissants, Hawaiian sticky rolls, mango sticky rice kouign amanns, apple lychee croissants, sandwiches like homemade meatloaf on fresh baked bread... this is a serious passion project of more than a decade. And it's all at very affordable prices with a kind owner. I was blown away.

Now that the L line is open again, I hope folks will discover a hidden gem.

Bruno does an amazing job at creating unique pastries perfectly executed. If you crave a buttery flavorful croissant by or kouign aman that shatter with crunch and then offers the chew of mochi you must try this place that is worth a drive across town. I especially like his black sesame mochissant and the mango sticky rice kouign aman. The atmosphere is not very inviting but Bruno’s friendly welcome and wonderful bites make it a destination bakery for me.

splendid place, i’m glad i ran there in the rain. grabbed the last mango sticky rice and it was spectacular. the mochi croissant was good but not what i expected — i thought the filament itself was mochi flour, but it was just a wrapped mochi. the blueberry mochi croissant was not our fave as it tasted artificial like a costco muffin. excited to try out all the other savory and sweet items!

Came for coffee and was blown away by the pastries. Excellent flavor, butter and flake. So good, the first bite brought tears to my eyes. Love, love, love.

Think fast! Mochissaints (mochi croissants) sell out here often.

I enjoyed the lychee mochissaint texture —crispy, chewy, light and airy ? — although I would have liked more flavor. Service took time, but the gentleman behind the counter was extremely personable. Drip coffee was hot and fresh with zero flavor.

I will be back to try every other unique pastry on the menu… with a cappuccino! Fun fact: Prices are wonderfully reasonable. ?

Hi Bruno

This is a very delightful place to go. Since Taraval Street was closed for construction all the surrounding business has suffered and the neighbors should support local businesses. Right now the road improvements in the area are done and you can park confortable at the door now. They sell one of the best croissants and pastries at reasonable prices. Come and check them out

Really cute little place, nice and friendly cafe. The mochi croissants, Ube and Matcha tarts, and my fav black rice with lychee inside croissant. The ham and cheese croissant is really good too. Haven’t tried the others yet.
