We celebrated our best friends 70th birthday. Drinks, dinner, and service was top notch. It's our favorite Indian Restaurant. Never have had a bad meal. 👍
Roti Indian Bistro is hands-down my favorite Indian restaurant. I've been coming here for many years, and it remains one of my most regularly frequented spots. The food is consistently delicious, high-quality, and beautifully prepared. The staff is warm, attentive, and always makes you feel welcome. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. Highly recommended!
The food was good as always, but the waitress never offered us the option of dessert before presenting the check and never cleaned the table despite crumbs and food stuff after the first courses were delivered.
Still great, after 20 years. That's how long we've been going there. The food is excellent, along with a great staff, and the genial host, Punkosh (sp?). The chicken Korma is one of my all time favorites. Twice a year they offer cauliflower with a delicious curry sauce ladled on top. It is delicious. Also, occasionally, they have brussels sprout chips, which is heavenly. The tandoori chicken is also great. I could go on. This is a neighborhood gem. I highly recommend this restaurant. Oh, the mango lassi is wonderful.
Great neighborhood restaurant, very good Indian food. I liked the detail descriptions on their speciality menu, these items are the most interesting. All of the bread offerings are very good. I think most meals are designed to share so some guidance will be very helpful should you want to share. I did find the food service a little rushed, plates were not cleared between courses, our waiter took little care as he served our dishes. However the waitress who took our order and the Host were helpful, and the overall tone is very warm and hospitable.
I have coming here since they first opened and we have never had a negative experience. My favorite protein is the Tandoori Salmon. Everything is delicious. Elizabeth S
Server was helpful and made suggestion to try lamb lollipops. They were delicious as was naan that we ordered

This restaurant is a gem. The food was delicious and the menu had both traditional favorites and some creative additions to the typical Indian restaurant fare. Service was friendly, efficient and professional. The room (indoor seating) was loud on Saturday night but -while that was a bit hard for the older diners in our group - that noise level reflected a really lively, cheerful, happy vibe. We'll definitely return!
We bring all our friends here. This time it was for a birthday celebration, and the restaurant brought out the most delicious cardamom ice cream with crushed pistachios sprinkled on top - wow!

Our dining experience with our friend from San Jose, was wonderful and on point. We loved the appetizers of Papadum and Garlic Naan to start us off. The Garlic Naan was different from the last time I had it at Roti but still good, just thinner in size. Our mains were the vegetable biryani, lamb curry, chicken korma, and the delicious saag paneer. Always a wonderful meal at a local in our neighborhood. Yum!
Looking for some authentic Indian food we found this place on Yelp, menu looked authentic, but when we were served our food it was SUPER sweet, all kinds of added sugar on every dish! although the flavors came through, the amount of sugar in their dishes is unacceptable, I will never come back to this place
Extremely poor acoustics due to which the noise level in the restaurant was extremely high. None of the tables / guests were being extra loud or boisterous so I think it was poor acoustics of the building. Food was very average - good presentation but rather bland. For example, the lamb in the Rogan Josh felt like it was boiled rather than well cooked by sautéing / roasting / grilling.
We had a delightful dinner to celebrate the last day of summer vacation with another family. Our food was delicious and the service was fantastic. The restaurant was clean and comfortable.
Roti has been a longstanding and popular restaurant on West Portal for years. I had not been here in several years. I was so glad that are still here. It all came back to me -- the friendly and attentive service and the delicious food. My friend and I dined there on a Friday night for her birthday. We each started with a tasty cocktail, and we shared several dishes -- including Chicken Tikka Masala, Mixed Veggies, and Basmati Rice. So delicious. As West Portal parking can be challenging, I highly recommend taking Muni Metro if possible, as the station is 1/2 block away. So convenient.
