Excellent place to buy some food when in a hurry. Their customer service is prompt, pricing is affordable, awesome ambience. Highly recommended

You cannot beat the oysters here - perfectly chilled and so sweet and fresh. All the horseradish you want as they bring you the little jar.

We were in San Francisco during the covid-19 shelter in. Some restaurants were doing delivery through doordash. I tried to order from Roy’s but had a lot of problems. Finally after an hour I got the site to work , only to have DoorDash tell me Roy’s was closed. I called the restaurant and the manager David said he would see what he could do. He called back to ask me to try again. He had contacted their IT dept and found out the site had not been updated. I tried again and it worked!! This was very special to us as my husband was having surgery the next day and we wanted a Roy’s meal before he went. Food was delivered to our hotel. Delicious as always. Thank you.

I told my friends about this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I go their often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The the cooking is delicious and the stuff is attentive and cooperative. Whenever we go to this place we enjoy a cheerful time. warmly recommended.

It was a slow night because of the COVID-19 stay at home orders, but we wanted to celebrate our 3-year anniversary. We are very glad we picked Roy's SF. We got a lovely window seat as requested on the Open Table rest area. Roy's placed a nice card on the table congratulating us on our anniversary and gave us a free chocolate souffle! So classy! They had a nice 50% off special for a long list of wines by the bottle. We took full advantage. Please go and patronize restaurants if you're healthy and don't have high-risk family members you're taking care of.

I ordered the sea food combo. It was listed as lobster tail, shrimp and scallops. It came with one scallop. When I questioned only one the waiter went and asked the chef and came back and said it came with just one. No offer of a second one. The restaurant was empty. It couldn't have hurt to give me another one. We paid over $100 per person. Won't be in a hurry to go back. In general the food was well prepared.

I have eaten at Roy's a number of times and it has always been excellent. The spareribs appetizer, which has always been superb was changed this time. Rather than being a spare-rib on the bone with sauce like spare-ribs are typically serviced, it was thinly sliced on the bone. There was little meat and sauce. I would not recommend the spare-rib appetizer. The rest of the meals were wonderful. I always order the chocolate lave cake!

been to roy's on several occasions, always on point...nice, varied menu, great cocktails...we had a $40.00 voucher from roy's , so that made it even nicer....now we have a $50.00 voucher coming our way, so we'll definitely be coming back.....

For the price point, they have opportunities for improvement. The sushi was very high quality (and good) but our shellfish was overcooked, kitchen was quite slow, and service well intended but quite slow to respond. We had such high hopes. Such a contrast to the less expensive but fantastic service of Liholiho Yacht Club.

The service was slow, the food was mediocre and the price was skyhigh. I would not go back and have let those I work with to avoid the place for team celebrations, client dinners and even for a simple night out.

Expect a great experience from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. Most recently I tried Roy's Express Lunch Plate, which comes with miso, a lovely salad, fried rice and a light dessert. I picked the shrimp option and loved it. My friend enjoyed the salmon. Our plates were clean by the time we were done. Fabulous. Service and ambience are topnotch too.

I hate to write about this 'secret', but they deserve it! Good atmosphere, wonderful food, fabulous service (and every eggplant appetizer and a shrimp casserole - to die for!!). This place is way more reasonably priced than the fancy midtown 'Greek' restaurants! Worth a downtown trip!!!

Roy's is gradually going down. Service is great, the Aloha menu is still good, but the prices are going up and the quality of some items are going down. We are sufficiently disappointed that we are dropping Roy's as a recommendation. Sorry Roy's.

Food is as good as ever. Service was outstanding. The place really needs upgrading and updating, though. The bathrooms, and the area outside the bathrooms, is looking shabby. The stairway to the upper level looks downright dirty. And why make the servers wear kukui nut necklaces? Those look dated and tacky; doesn't match the quality of the food and service. We were celebrating an anniversary; nice touch, to put a paper note on our table with anniversary wishes. But it came right of a copier, wrinkled, on cheap plain white paper. Just not consistent with the overall ambiance. The overall experience is no longer elegant.
