A very good clam chowder!! One of few places where you really enjoy clams in the soup and not just industrial blended mix of God knows what.

They had me at soup. Loved this place. It has a real
Local vibe and the tomato soup was to die for - and I’m a picky soup guy.

The Rusty Ladle has completely won me over! Their soup selection is outstanding — there’s something for everyone, and you can taste the difference that fresh, quality ingredients make in every single bowl. The broths are rich and flavorful, and the variety keeps me coming back again and again.
What really sets this place apart, though, is the staff. Friendly, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they serve — they make you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in.
If you’re a soup lover (or even if you’re not yet), do yourself a favor and visit the Rusty Ladle. You won’t be disappointed!

A truly a delightful experience. My mom was craving soup. I searched “soup” on Google Maps and Rusty Ladle popped up. Very thankful we stopped! The service is friendly and hospitable. We tried the clam chowder and duck dumbo and split a “Schmelty” woth a side of tomato bisque. Highly recommend!
Note: This Week’s Specials rotate

Honestly such an amazing spot. Service was amazing, they let you try the soups, food was spectacular, beers on tap. Owner was there washing dishes and bussing tables, made a point to be friendly to us. They offered us more soup refills. Atmosphere was very homie local vibes. We just moved here and really needed this meal. Thanks Rusty Ladel!

ABSOLUTELY amazing, a must with the rain season. I think their clam chowder is my favorite in the Bay and also they will let you try their soups. They also rotate a couple of offerings daily/ weekly

Really cool spot. It was freezing inside unfortunately. Soup was great. The grilled cheese was just ok. Looked better than it tasted. Friendly staff.

Absolutely love this soup kitchen and the owner and staff are great. Don't skip the grilled cheese as it goes with any of the soups, especially the tomato soup.

Small space but very fast and friendly service. Best grilled cheese sandwich with crusty cheese edges. and the $4 cup soup was a perfect match. Would love to come back.
