The menu board clearly states "Allowed one substitution per salad." When I requested my ONE substitution for avocado in place of the apple, I was sharply told that it would be an extra charge. When I pointed out that the menu board behind them didn't say anything about "premium" or "non-premium" items and I wasn't requesting a protein, they huffed. They then said that they would make the substitution this time. I thanked them paid $35 for TWO Brussels, Kale & Quinoa salads. Onboard when I went to eat my salads, I found no avocado and the apple that I didn't want. They lied and did nothing but take my money. It was a good salad. If they weren't going to substitute the avocado, then I would have requested something else. But they lied and I never had that choice. Apparently, lying to customers who they don't ever expect to see again and take their money is the way that they do business.
With 3 hours to kill, we set off for the food court recommended by a pilot we asked and looked at our options. We decided to "be healthy" after a 10-day cruise and were rewarded with amazing food! The Good Catch Vegan Manhattan Seafood Chowder and Tortilla soup were both amazing and the Cabo salad was hearty enough for us to share and not feel deprived in any way. Of course, we then justified a couple of chocolate chip cookies for dessert-LOL. I now hope we have a reason to get back there again.
While visiting the offices at One California building in San Francisco, I stopped off to grab a sandwich at Ladle \\u0026 Leaf. The cafe offers both sandwiches and soups. The cafe has no indoor seating but offers exterior seating. The cafe also has salads, beverages, and half order of sandwiches. The Embarcadero Ferry Building is conveniently located.
Aug 1 ...The staff here is rude .to Seniors and families.
Burmese chicken curry soup with noodles was very salty. Au de pain bread was fresh. Turkey avocado sandwich was ok.
Good healthy lunch spot
I enjoyed their vegetarian salad. One could also get it with chicken but I opted not too. Doctors recommend that one eats 4 to 10 cups of vegetable/salad greens each day. Their salads are so huge one could accomplish the 8 to 10 cups just by eating their entire salad. I could not, as the salad was huge so of course enough for another salad lunch. Prices were reasonable - under $10.00. and my beverage of choice of course is water - so had that with the healthy salad. One orders at the counter.
I have stopped here for lunch several times and they are always fast and fresh. I had chicken noodle soup on my most recent visit and it was very good as usual. I ordered a small cup which is plenty for lunch, especially because of the big piece of sourdough bread you get with your order. Their selection of soup changes regularly and the salads are really good too.
very rude staff - berkeley branch
One of my favorite places for quality soup. It was so fresh. The place has a great atmosphere. Food is like a place in Baltimore I liked.

Good spot for Soup. I often meet people here to talk. Looking forward to going back again. Prices that won't break you.
soup, very delicious. Prices that are reasonable.
Great place to go for really hot&fresh soup especially on a cold winter's day!
San Francisco Soup Company is another chain restaurant that is targeted at the downtown lunch crowd. I think it has more than half a dozen locations in FiDi so you will run into a location every couple of blocks. As its name suggests its main offering is 5-6 different types of soups and it also has pre-made half sandwiches and salads that you can pick up from the counter before paying.
Great clam chowder
