This place is a great neighborhood spot. Kid friendly, nice staff, good seasonal flavors on rotation and great standard flavors that are my go to. We are grateful for their business.

This staff was so nice even though we walked in a few minutes before they closed. This was the first time coming here and their ice cream is so creamy and delicious. Everything is made in-house and they also sell pints of their limited flavors.

Just tried the Easter special ice cream "Easter egg hunt" at Hometown Creamery and it was fantastic! The flavor was top-notch, and the service was friendly. The interior is super cute too. Loved the option for a "smidge" size - perfect for a little treat. Will definitely be back for more!

My friends and family walked over here after a day at the California Academy of Sciences and Lunch and Um.ma. Their ice cream is amazing and I love that they sell churros. The churros were fresh and sweet, and they were still good the next day when I finished the rest. My favorite thing about San Francisco's Hometown Creamery though is the artwork of the different SF neighborhoods on the walls and the map that has the pins of where everyone is visiting from.

So I was talking to my husband about the day we celebrated the anniversary of his stroke he had survived 2/15/2020 and how we had this amazing ice cream from a coolLooking 70’s van in Union Square ? this was before the pandemic so we always wondered if they stayed in business as many small food vendors and restaurants didn’t make it. Well after going through my old pics I found them! So happy they’re still in business and can’t wait to go back for another scoop! ?

Very cute ice cream shop on a quiet street corner with a simple menu (great for my indecisive self). Came here for a quick post-dinner dessert and got the matcha flavor and the wake cake flavor. The ice cream was pretty good but was very melted before we got the chance to eat it.

Flavors were delicious , slightly sweet.I enjoyed the brownie overall more than the ice cream. The worker that helped me was nice, would try again when visiting.

LOVE this place! I'm an ice cream fanatic and this is one of my faves in SF. Love their seasonal flavors and you can never go wrong with the mint chip where they use real fresh mint--you can taste the fresh mint with the yummy hunks of chocolate! Other flavors that I love include the seasonal breakfast flavor with cinnamon and oats as well as the sufganyot (jelly donut) flavor for Hanukkah! Limited seating inside but also a bench outside.

This place is such a local vibe. It can get crowded but it goes by fast. I chose two unique flavors Finnegan Wake cake flavor and Romeo e julieta flavor. They are so good! Creamy and delicious. It is also not overwhelmingly sweet so it is enjoyable. People or other costumers are so nice too.

Discovered this place once with my roommate last year after going to San Tung for dinner. I love that they close at 10 pm, and also the different sizes. I love ice cream, but I hate getting big portions because I can never finish it. That's why their "smidge" size is perfect for me. Another thing I love is that they don't have SO many flavors, but just enough where you do have options - I am indecisive LOL. Even with trying the diff flavors, the mint always hits the spot. It has a fresh, different taste than your typical mint chocolate chip ice cream. Coming into the shop, it has a decent amount of seating and a very welcoming but modern feel. And the staff is very patient and helpful with samples and checkout.

What a perfect spot for a late night dessert. I tried their Romeo and Juliet ice cream which I believe was a mix of cheese and guava. I thought it was delightful and not too sweet. The service was friendly and accommodating. The place is filled with colorful art of San Francisco and just good vibes.
