You can trust their authenticity and quality.

As a Japanese living in this city, I love this Japanese restaurant. The staff is always very friendly. The food is authentic but the menu accommodates non-Japanese customers as well.

My favorite is, Chirashi, sashimi over sushi rice.

Great food, the sushi is very fresh. The bento box is good. I love tempure & the teriyaki chicken but it's a little dry. I prefer beef. Why 3 stars for Atmosphere? The terrible music they play! They should check out Eiji in the Castro. One minute it's traditional Japanese music, the next the Gypsy Kings! Sanraku's endless Kenny G smooth jazz went out in 1985.
With cooler music Sanraku would be almost perfect.

We’re staying just up the street and had been driving all day and needed a place to eat. We found this place right next to our hotel and they had amazing vibes as soon as we walked in. The service is so fast and attentive and they are so nice. We feel welcomed like it’s a neighborhood regulars spot! Make sure you order the Dassai sake. It’s the best I’ve ever had! Will be back for sure.
