The sushi was so fresh and delicious. Enjoyed the omakase, as well as the hand rolls. They don't take reservations, so you have to get there early to get a table, or plan for a wait.

Really incredible food and service!

We had dined in for dinner on Sunday night. Food and atmosphere were great, however, the server seemed very inexperienced. Her voice was too low and she talked really fast, so it was hard to understand her, and she asked to bring our check before we finished eating. We asked more side dishes, but she forgot to bring it until we finished eating, and asked if we still want it when she was cleaning our table. We were seated for less than 30 mins and felt rushed to leave, and tip of 20% was already automatically included.

We decided to visit Sura Sushi for a casual workday late dinner. Our experience was nothing short of delightful. We started with Buri Daikon soup, which provided comforting warmth.Opting for a selection of Nigiri and Sashimi, we were thoroughly impressed. Each piece showcased the freshness and quality of the ingredients. From the Chu Toro to the O Tor, Engawa to Sunazuri, and Hotate, every bite was a symphony of flavors and freshness. Highly recommend this place.

Just an amazing experience, and incredible food. They don’t take reservations, so it’s worth getting there when they open!

It’s fine. I was excited to try it out after hearing people talk about… Expensive for the portion sizes. You can tell the quality of the ingredients is high, but also, I forgot what I ate? I forgot what it tasted like? You can find much memorable and yummy sushi elsewhere. I probably wouldn’t come back.

2nd visit was much worse than the first more than a year ago. Unimpressive fish quality. Many items sold off, no WiFi. Servers showed cold faces all the

Food was good but skyrocketing overpriced for what you get. Portions are microscopic. I eat much better quality of sushi for much less in the city. It feels almost like I’m paying for the location of the restaurant and not the food itself. It’s very dark inside so you can’t really see the menu itself or surroundings as well. I feel they could serve anything and I would not be able to distinguish it unless carrying a flashlight.Servers were very polite but the review is not about them. Will not go back.

The space is cute but the food was somewhat disappointing. The hand rolls were nothing special. Some of the rolls were good but somewhat small, just as the nigiris.

Amazing place. The sushi is top notch. Got the omaksake tasting menu which did not disappoint.Service was great we always had what we needed. The atmosphere was nice. Indoor seating is close together so it is not super intimate, but still a great place for a date or just a dinner with friends. For the price what you get is an amazing value. This spot is really a neighborhood gem. I always try to stop in at least once every time I am visiting SF.

small sushi restaurant in noe valley with high quality fish and rolls. expect to spend $20-30 for the meal, sadly the average price for decent sushi in the city. would come back but wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here again.white out: must try! balanced flavoring and loved the seared fish

Actually the best sushi place I've experienced in SF (over many years). They have a "gourmet method" of some kind to make the sushi uncommonly tasty and elegant. Very cozy place. No reservations so put your name in and go to the Dubliner for drinks prior!!
