The food is excellent, outstanding, incredibly delicious, and generously priced, with surprisingly good prices for the quality and amount served. Dishes like Coq au Vin and Duck Cassoulet are highlights, along with homemade bread. The restaurant is known for brunch, but dinner is also a total hit. Meals, including breakfast and a BLT sandwich, are presented beautifully and come out fairly quickly.
The location is a great place to begin or close a day by the coast, with a view of the sea that calms the soul. It is situated near Sutro Park and the Lands End lot, making parking easy. The setting is cozy and the decor is beautiful, though some find it kitschy and weird. Service is good, prompt, and friendly, with staff described as kind and helpful, though sometimes a bit understaffed. The chef personally checks on guests. It is a wonderful breakfast spot and a favorite place to enjoy a meal, well worth a visit.
