Ridiculous overpriced mediocre as food. im sorry I can do better korean food at home. Went there to celebrate my daughter’s birthday not knowing what to expect but wanted give it a chance. Price was soo expensive that we ordered 3 items and it was over 100$. We would have gone to decent sushi restaurant instead. If you price your food that high at least make sure to make your food exceptional. I always Loved korean food went to hundreds of restaurants but this one was the worst imo!!!!!!!

This restaurant serves very authentic, high quality Korean food that I’ve not been able to find elsewhere. I’ve been coming here for a long time, and always have a great experience!

The owner or the restaurant was very nice and attentive, but the food was awful. I ordered the Korean noodle that was actually the instant ramen noodle. It was overpriced by its quality. Seriously disappointed.

Great fried chicken and fresh banchan side dishes. Quiet atmosphere with classical music and very clean. Short rib soup is good too.

Seoul Garden in San Francisco is a true culinary paradox for me. On one hand, the food is nothing short of exceptional. I've splurged on their kimchi jigae multiple times--even once through a delivery app that racked the price up to $50. In my opinion, it's the best Korean cuisine in San Francisco, and possibly the mid-peninsula area as well. The owner-chef is a true artisan, slicing tofu to uniform perfection and crafting what appears to be house-made kimchi with remarkably consistent cabbage pieces. The soups--be it kalbi tang, sul lung tang, or ginseng chicken soup--are culinary masterpieces. The japchae is both delicious and clean-tasting, reinforcing the high-quality ingredients used throughout the menu. While the Korean BBQ features meticulously cut pieces of meat, I do have concerns about its freshness, especially given the restaurant's low foot traffic. The meat doesn't seem subpar in quality, but it does leave me wondering if it's been stored frozen for an extended period. The experience comes at a steep cost. Seoul Garden's prices are 2-3 times higher than other local Korean eateries. While Um Ma is another high-quality option that caters to a trendier crowd, it doesn't come close to the hefty price tag at Seoul Garden. So why do I keep going back? Because the food strikes an ideal balance between homey, traditional flavors and top-notch culinary craftsmanship.Despite its merits, the restaurant is often empty, possibly due to the escalating prices set by the owner. While I respect his devotion to his craft, the increasing cost has become alienating for many patrons, including myself. So, each time I give in to my craving for Seoul Garden, I leave satiated but financially bruised, questioning my decision to spend $30 on a bowl of spicy, pickled cabbage stew. For any self-respecting Korean individual, the high prices at Seoul Garden might be hard to justify--especially when many can either prepare these dishes at home or have family who can do so. However, for someone like me, essentially a tourist in the realm of Korean cuisine, the options are more limited, especially in SF. I'm awarding Seoul Garden a five-star rating, not just as an endorsement of its exceptional cuisine, but also as a gesture of hope. My wish is that increased patronage will encourage the owner to make his culinary masterpieces more accessible, perhaps by reconsidering the current pricing strategy. This way, more people can experience what I consider to be some of the best Korean food in the area.

We loved this place. The prices were a bit high, but the food was fantastic and the service was great. We had the sweet and spicy chicken, the shrimp tempura with sides and the Bim bop between 3 of us. I probably like the chicken best, but we loved them all. We’ll definitely be back again soon.

The Korean soybean paste stew and side dishes were very tasty. I ordered more bean sprouts. Side dishes were free. All side dishes were free. I was surprised. The restaurant was quiet and the staff were very friendly and prompt.

The bibimpab is great. Recommend the spicy pork. Good amount of banchan. The service is attentive and kind.

We went to this place in Japan town just to eat fried rice as we could not find a restaurant in the Japan town which serves fried rice. I guess it is our mistake to order fried rice in a Korean restaurant, it is very bland cooked with the frozen veggies. We went during the lunch time for some reason it is completely empty and we are the only ones. It took forever to serve this simple fired rice. Ambiance is really good, it has the typical Korean interiors. We also ordered fired chicken it is very bland, not seasoned enough and overcooked. I recommend to avoid their fired chicken.
