Excellent Roman dishes prepared with care and authenticity. Not just pasta, but a thoughtfully crafted menu paired with a high-quality wine selection. The chef and the owner are amazing, and from the food to the service, everything felt genuinely Roman.

Great service. Serafina is becoming too popular. Nice, quiet setting. Neighborhood gem. Fausto is the best.

Food was very good and they had fresh pasta! A smaller sized restaurant, a little tight but worth a visit. Come early, because parking is tough in that neighborhood. Maybe Uber or Lyft. We had a great evening.

Serafina is one of our “goto” restaurants when we're in the city. The service is above amazing!! The food is ALWAYS consistently outstanding!! For a surprisingly small neighborhood restaurant, Serafina gives a BIG experience!! Highly recommend!!

Serafina is a must restaurant to visit when in San Francisco. The authentic italian food is like no other and the small place feels like home. Also, the service from the owners is above and beyond. WORTH IT!

Kicking off the New Year with a meal at Serafina, perched atop Russian Hill, feels like coming home. This beloved neighborhood gem is where familiar faces gather and every dish is crafted with care. Known for its exceptional homemade pasta and decadent, house-made desserts, Serafina radiates a warmth you want to share with friends visiting from out of town. The journey up to Russian Hill—300 feet of San Francisco’s classic charm—only adds to the only in San Francisco experience. PS: One of the best gnocchi I've had outside NYC.

Wonderful magical authentic Italian restaurant in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. You are welcomed warmly as if into a home. I highly recommend Serafina!

Every meal I've had here the service has always been top notch. You feel very taken care, I appreciate that they all work together and are very attentive. It does get warm inside because it is a small restaurant, I wish the door was cracked open, but totally understood with the rain and wind that wasn't possible. First time I've dined here for a pre fixe menu, and I rather visit for all things à la carte. Quality was good, but quantity could've been better. For an appetizer, I'd recommend the wild giant shrimp to start with. For entrees, one of our guests in our party ordered the chicken, it was a very small portion, flavor was okay. Big highlight was the lobster pasta, quantity was a good size. Dessert, you have 3 options to choose from which were good portion sizes to share amongst your table. Overall experience was good, but for 5 people I don't believe it was worth the price for the portion sizes we received.

This is a little gem hidden in the trees. Everything we have had is amazing. The soups, salads, pastas, Marsala, Piccata, steaks, fish, Risotto & Lasagna are all wonderful. The Sara’s Favorite is life changing. The desserts are lovely and the service is friendly and attentive.
So……….make a reservation, come hungry and enjoy our favorite Italian restaurant in the forest❤️

We were referred to this cozy spot with the great family home vibes. The service was personable and accommodating. You really felt like you were at family dinner. The food was incredible. We ordered the caprese salad and prosciutto arugula appetizers, both were amazing. For our entrees we had the chicken piccata, lasagne, and my son had a pizza. The lasagne was a showstopper...but really all the dishes were delicious.
Great place! Thank you for the experience!
