Come back! I love your Miso Ramen with big chunks of pork belly!

I used to join my husband here regularly during the work week. Him and his co-workers were loyal patrons of this small ramen spot. The staff were always very friendly whenever we entered. They were consistently quick to seat us and they often knew my husband's order before he had a chance to peruse the menu. My husband often ordered the tonkatsu red - with some hot green tea and gyozas. The portions were always fantastic and you could tell that they made their dishes with love. In addition - they take credit cards. For reasonably priced ramen in chinatown - Slurp is a lovely spot. Trust.

This place was worth a super shady walk down an extremely dark street as Chinatown and its neighboring streets were being shut down for the Matrix filming that was taking place. I really wondered if there was anything open, but as we got closer, a light (the only one on the street) glimmered. The place was empty--why?? Delicious ramen, perfect soft boiled egg and a great sake (I can't remember what it was, but the guy working said they'd just gotten it in). Reasonably priced and delicious and the service was friendly, polite and fast. Not sure if they're open during this corona virus shut-down that's going on. Keep them in business!

My coworker and I went to Hinodeya when it first opened and she complained that it wasn't as good as Slurp. With her recommendation, I decided to give this spot a try. It was a cold SF day, perfect for a bowl of ramen. I arrived for lunch on the earlier side and to my surprise, the restaurant was almost completely empty. The waitress was friendly and helped me select the Miso Tonkatsu Ramen. Service was fast and the noodles were hot. The broth didn't have the depth that I expected. It kind of fell flat in its face. And the chashu was a nice thick slice but perhaps too thick to enjoy in this noodle soup. I am a huge fan of all types of soup noodles but my experience was Slurp was not great.

This place is great! A true hidden gem tucked away in Chinatown. Everyone who works here is really friendly, the ramen is delicious and there is rarely ever a wait (I've heard it gets busy during lunch, but I've only ever been for dinner). They've recently added more apps to the menu and I heard they may be starting a happy hour soon! Go here, you won't be sorry!

Decent ramen spot in Chinatown; located in an empty alleyway. We came here early on a weekday lunch ~1120AM. We were the only customer there before the lunch rush came. Not too big of a restaurant with bar seating and a handful of tables for two, however not much for large groups. We were seated quickly and got our orders quickly. We ordered tonkotsu red for myself and my coworker had the spicy miso tonkotsu, which are both $15. Standard ramen prices for SF. We tried each other's broth and I personally liked the tonkotsu red better. Cleaner yet flavorful broth. There were plenty of noodles, toppings, and two big slices of pork. My coworker didn't finish her entire bowl but I somehow did given that I wasn't very hungry. Good portion and decent broth, but nothing spectacular. I personally do not remember how it tastes like a few days later so I probably won't be returning here. $30+ for two ramen is standard for Bay Area ramen.

Went here for dinner while in SF for work. Amazing ramen and good prices. Highly recommend the spicy miso ramen. Staff was friendly too. Will definitely go back!

I had a craving for Ramen and Slurp Ramen appeared to be rated well so we gave it a try. We ordered the Tonkotsu Red that comes with chili oil that makes it mildly spicy as the menu says. The Ramen was delicious! The broth was rich, pork was cooked well. I appreciate the thinner slices of pork compared to other places that use thick slices. The noodles were slightly more firm than I prefer, but still cooked well. Just a disclaimer, I compare all Ramen to the bowl I order at Ichiran Ramen in Japan, which allows you to customize to your tonkotsu bowl. The bowl at Slurp came close! We also ordered the gyoza that were also tasty and came with a simple dipping sauce. Lastly, I enjoyed my meal with the sparkling jelly sake, the waitress said it was a "fun" drink and she was right! It was a sparkling beverage with a Jell-O shot mixed in, it made me chuckle a little after every sip. Overall, I will definitely return!

Average ramen place, got the spicy miso. The ingredients were reasonably fresh, the chasu was okay but nothing to wow over, had a decent amount of flaavor. The broth was on the heavier side but I needed to add some more white pepper to give it some kick.

I take my family to this great restaurant quite a bit! This is the best place to dine. I visit this spot routinely. The meals are very tasty, the crew is polite and the payment is fair. I enjoy going in this place over a decent meal.

Avoid slurp like the plague because that's how it will make you feel after eating it. The meat was dry and old the broth was flat tasteless and cold which made the fat bead up and making it almost inedible, but this was the good part. The bad part started when I took a sip of water and noticed an odd smell coming from it. I then noticed the same smell coming from the broth and that marked the end of my lunch and the beginning of other problems that kept me in the bathroom for most of the night and next day. I give it one star for being open which is a feat in SF but please save yourself and choose another ramen option.
