Sofiya is an absolute gem in San Francisco! The portions are generous, the flavors remarkably rich, and every dish feels thoughtfully crafted — a true taste of Zbaïkistani cuisine at its best. You can tell the food is made with care and genuine passion.
The hospitality was exceptional. Our host was wonderfully kind, welcoming, and attentive, creating such a warm and inviting atmosphere. We were even treated to extra servings and a traditional local drink, which made the experience all the more memorable.
A restaurant that shines for both its outstanding food and heartfelt service. Highly recommended — I’ll absolutely be coming back to Sofiya!

We visited this restaurant for the first time on a friend's recommendation and were absolutely delighted! The atmosphere was calm, pleasant, and cozy, the restaurant was very clean (which is important to me!), and the staff was friendly and welcoming. But most importantly, the food stole my heart! I haven't eaten so deliciously in a long time! We ordered a variety of dishes: shurpa, pilaf, salad, lula kebab, manti, Napoleon cake, panna cotta, honey cake, compote, and tea. Everything was delicious: the main course, the dessert, and the drink. I must say that this is definitely the best restaurant in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Now I'm looking for an excuse to return to San Francisco to visit this restaurant again!
