Sofiya is an absolute gem in San Francisco! The portions are generous, the flavors remarkably rich, and every dish feels thoughtfully crafted — a true taste of Zbaïkistani cuisine at its best. You can tell the food is made with care and genuine passion.
The hospitality was exceptional. Our host was wonderfully kind, welcoming, and attentive, creating such a warm and inviting atmosphere. We were even treated to extra servings and a traditional local drink, which made the experience all the more memorable.
A restaurant that shines for both its outstanding food and heartfelt service. Highly recommended — I’ll absolutely be coming back to Sofiya!

We visited this restaurant for the first time on a friend's recommendation and were absolutely delighted! The atmosphere was calm, pleasant, and cozy, the restaurant was very clean (which is important to me!), and the staff was friendly and welcoming. But most importantly, the food stole my heart! I haven't eaten so deliciously in a long time! We ordered a variety of dishes: shurpa, pilaf, salad, lula kebab, manti, Napoleon cake, panna cotta, honey cake, compote, and tea. Everything was delicious: the main course, the dessert, and the drink. I must say that this is definitely the best restaurant in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Now I'm looking for an excuse to return to San Francisco to visit this restaurant again!

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully served. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I ordered online via Ubereats. Some of the best Uzbeki food I’ve had. The uyghur laghman was absolutely fantastic. Fresh, not too spicy, and the noodles were packed separately so they don’t wither away in the soup mix. Absolutely fantastic! I also had the Lyula kebab- the meat was tender, perfectly cooked and had some delicious flavor. All without losing the lamb essence. The bread was beautifully baked fresh and went well with the soup. I highly recommend this spot. I was visiting from out of state and this place definitely hit the spot!
Prices are reasonable; the ubereats fees add up but overall the food was worth the price.
