Great Happy hour!!! Prices very reasonable. The Caesar salad and pizza with chicken was delicious. One of the best crusts ever.

Very loud at 5pm. After work groups were very loud in bar and dinning area. Very hard to hear dinner partners. Food was very good and the server was very polite. Only problem, our salads were served and then 10 minutes later they brought out our main course. We had them take it back so we could finish our salad and not end up with a cold dinner plate. Will not be back.

This event was for my son's Graduation June 15, 2025. It was also Father's Day. Most Venues are booked , I called SOMA per my son's recommendation. I spoke to RAMIN and was very cordial and accommodating. Gave me choice of going to OPEN table first if I am unsuccessful call him back. I was able to get reservation for 20 people but my head count is getting bigger. I called Ramin again and he assured me they can accommodate more than 20. The day came, guests started arriving earlier than reservation time and they were accommodated with no problem. Food was Excellent,Drinks are are satisfying,Server VEYSI was Super Fast and Friendly. We ALL had an AWESOME experience at SOMA. Will consider SOMA for future events.

We ate here prior to seeing a show at the Golden Gate Theatre because it was close and the reviews looked pretty good as well as having a varied menu. Some of the food came out so fast that it was clear to us that they were just things being heated up-especially the meatballs. Also, some of us received our food right away and the rest of us did not get served until a good 15 or 20 minutes later. The Caesar salad was OK. The dressing was fine, but the lettuce was not fresh and had lots of brown spots. The drinks were really overpriced! Overall, it was convenient, but we would not return because the bill was very expensive and the food was just not very tasty or well prepared.

Our server and the manager were both so so helpful!!! And nice!!! Had a surprise birthday party here and they were in on it as well! Thank you thank you!! Amazing food and amazing service!

Soma Restaurant and Bar was a great before theater dinner place. Calamari was just okay but both pasta dishes were very good. Drinks were reasonable. Service was excellent, waiters very nice.

Terrible service! Didn't feel welcome when we arrived despite having a reservation. After our food came, the waiter never came back to check on us. We had to ask 3 times for more water. Will not be going back.

We had a fabulous time for a birthday party here. Last minute reservation, friends in from out of town, delicious food, great portion size, good wine, great service. We felt welcomed and taken care of all night long, and we never felt rushed. The Bruschetta, Burrata, and Calamari to start were perfect to share. Everyone, from the teens to the grandmas, were (audibly) enjoying their entrees and impressed with the meal. Top that with a surprise slice of birthday cake and a sing-along by the whole bar, and SOMA definitely exceeded our expectations. I was just looking for a casual spot to celebrate with old friends, but it turned out to be a memorable night had by all. Thank you, SOMA Restaurant and Bar; we will be back!

Our group reserved for 10 but one person couldn't make it. Restaurant wanted to charge $30 for the one no show. I have never heard this before and it's extortion especially since it's one person who got stuck at meeting.

We used this restaurant for a work event last night (3/20) and couldn't have had a worse experience. We paid extra in the contract for AV and when we arrived the equipment was never provided. The food came out cold. The tables were dirty along with the silverware. We do a lot of dinners in SF for work purposes and will be avoiding this venue moving forward.
