Loved the food plus the location was very quaint and peaceful.
Cool is this based down South Park the show?
South Park Cafe is a local favorite of ours. Outdoor seating near a park with daily specials. The people are awesome and always up for a good chat and drink. Their take & bake cottage pie is rich and dynamic. Excellent flavors all around!
How have I not written review for this hidden gem?! South Park Cafe is in South Park which is between SoMA and AT&T Park.I first came for the burger and fries, and then I kept coming back for the burger and fries. Pre-pandemic this would be one of the spots for team lunches we would hit up. Their dinner menu is also FUEGO -- some of the hits are the mussels and the fried chicken.During the pandemic, I'm still getting their burger and fries. I think a recent add was a fried chicken sandwich -- which no surprise was really good! I was nervous about the hotness but it's not a hot-spicy, it's more a hot-kick.Even if you order comes with fries, get more fries. You're welcome!
I only come here on weekdays so I'm unsure of how busy it can get on the weekends. But this is my default cafe when I can't think of elsewhere to go.
Food is as delicious as it looks. Great atmosphere, nice staff.
Food is fresh and delicious and the staff is great. Reasonably priced.
Bone found in $12 burger fractured my tooth, costing me $10,000After living and working near South Park for more than 10 years, I was excited to go to South Park Cafe after their re-opening. My first visit on 10/11/19 turned out to be a nightmare. Literally. During a business lunch, I ordered the burger. On the 4th or 5th bite, I bit into a hard substance and felt a crack in my upper right tooth. To my horror, I discovered a piece of bone. I went to see my dentist, who confirmed that my tooth was fractured. I was devastated. My tooth has to be extracted and replaced with an implant and I need a bone graft. I reported the incident to South Park Cafe in order to prevent similar safety related issues. I also asked them to help pay for my medical expenses as my insurance only covers a fraction of the $10,000 estimate. You would think they would take the issue seriously and do the right thing, right? Wrong! After I shared the copy of the receipt along with the timeline of all my dentists appointments, they denied coverage. They responded “injuries like this could be caused by an existing fracture or injury, grinding teeth, existing tooth decay or weakness, or something else”. I expect safety related issues to be taken seriously. As I am about to get surgery in the next 2 weeks, I would not want anyone else from the South Park community to go through the same.

Fabulous -- great food, friendly vibe, chic (but low key) ambience. My biggest problem is that I can't NOT get the fried chicken every time I go: it's superb. Highly recommend it!
Nice small place for dinner. I liked the atmosphere and the staff.
