Beautiful and cozy outpost of this SF fast casual staple! Souvla has always been a favorite, with its outstanding salads, pitas, and frozen yogurt. My go-to is their vegetarian salad, which is absolutely loaded with tons of fresh greens, cheese, olives, nuts, and roasted white sweet potato. You can also get any salad Greek style and add a solid helping of fries on top for just $1 — a great choice if you don’t want to have an entire side of fries but still want something crispy. The salads are pretty big, so they can often be multiple meals (or one meal and a snack), especially if you get them with fries :). This location is especially fun — I love how wide and open the space is, especially with their super high ceilings. The overall vibe is almost industrial chic, but they also have this really fun tree encased in glass in the center of their back wall. The team is awesome and super efficient and friendly — can’t wait to come back!

As far as the food goes, I’m much prefer Za’atar.

I had the pork sandwich, which came with cherry tomatoes, feta, olive oil, and fresh herbs. While the flavors were nice, the pork itself was a bit dry. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned, but we were surprised to find that hummus wasn’t anywhere on the entire menu!!! a greek restaurant with no hummus! We ordered pitas, assuming they’d come with hummus, but they arrived plain with nothing on the side. this was very disappointing, its not like there was any sauce or good things to eat the pita with, it was just plain old pita. Overall, the food was decent, but the lack of hummus was a real head-scratcher.

Cute atmosphere but the vegetarian wrap was unseasoned and needed flavor.

This is one of the most beautiful souvla’s in the city. The lamb salad bowl is always tasty. They also have happy hour if you like tapas and cocktails.

The lamb salad is simply just delicious. It's not quite Greek style, but more of a west coast fusion. Thier fries was also very good. Crispy and welll seasoned.
