I really like this place & branch but on 2 occasions now I have encountered a rude employee. I would like to report a very mean employee of yours on your Battery St. branch in SF. He is an African American who is working there today March 27, 2019. This is the second time I have encountered his sarcastic & rude behavior. The first time, I was still in the soup line & ordering my soup & he the employee is in the cash registers & already asking me if that is all & I kept saying that I was still going to order a sandwich & he kept saying what kind so I can ring you up first! I told him I was still checking & asked him why was he rushing me???? And today, I went there really early like 10am & asked what was the soup & he just pointed at the board & said read it there. I didn't bring my glasses & normally the person behind the soup counter will show me kindly & let me know what soup is ready, since I can't see the board I left & came back in the afternoon around 2pm & he was again the fellow in charge & upon ordering my soup & sandwich I very nicely asked him what bread was in the Big BLT & if it was toasted & he rudely recited to me what exactly was inside the sandwich & said well I want to make sure you know what is in it & I told him I come here a lot & I just want to make sure about the bread & if it is toasted. When I got all the items & he put them in a bag he very loudly said goodbye! have a nice day & hope I see you again! All in a sarcastic tone. He was making fun of me! Most of your employee's are so nice but this one just doesn't want to work! He seems to make everyone there feel like he is the boss or something like that! I will try to avoid going there now since & go somewhere else. I don't need this type of behavior. I checked my receipt his name is PAUL!

As busy as this place is, they never lose sight of quality. Great original flavors, you get fresh, delicious options for some of the best prices in town. The lines are long but there is a reason and they have a good system to get you through. Pro tip: If you are only getting cake go to the cake only line it will save you a ton of time. If not smile and just wait.

Pretty good food. We got the red curry and the pad se-ew, which was fantastic except the chicken was overdone. Food took way too long though which is why 4/5

We got a few different things from here but I have to agree with the consensus that the cookies are definitely the highlight. Also, definitely don't shy away the day-old items; they're half-price and still quite good.

Seasonal pecan tea cookie is crispy, delicious and sweet, but can get messy with all the powdered sugar. Oatmeal raisin cookie was dry and hard on a weekday afternoon in case you like them soft and chewy like me. Outdoor seating available next door in front of Philz Coffee.

I love getting my morning coffee from the front window. The two ladies working there are very welcoming and nice to everyone. Highly recommended! They also have great pastries.
