Spruce is where good times and great friends come together. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, making it the perfect spot to share a few drinks and light bites with friends. The food is ideal for sharing, the drinks are top-notch, and the staff is friendly and attentive. There's something special about laughing with friends at the bar, enjoying the night, and pretending tomorrow doesn't exist. If you're looking for a place to celebrate and create memories, Spruce is the place to be. Cheers!

Amazing experience: food was delish, fresh ingredients, high quality produce and the service was top notch. Beautiful neighbourhood too and the ambiance is delightful. Loved the interior and the wine selection is top tier. We’re from Switzerland and the “Rösti” which originates from our homeland was not at all like Swiss Rösti. It was too salty and didn’t look, taste, nor look like it so we’d have called it an American interpretation of Swiss Rösti. We appreciated the attempt though.Unfortunately it took a long time to get seated although we booked a table (25 mins wait, although we were already a tad late)

The Matre'D yelled/spitted at me, "Do you have a reservation!!!" As if I was hard of hearing. There was no one else inside the place, but a single gentleman sitting alone. I almost left on that statement alone! But I was hungry and not able to walk distances sooo. This was going to be it. I was confused as to what the fuss was about. Then it dawned on me, OHHH...I don't think they'd ever seen normal Black people before. They kept interrupting our conversation that finally, when non-helpful, well-dressed man #5 came along and asked me if I needed anything, I said Yes! He said what? I said, "PEACE." Common sense would have told him what that meant, but noooo, he said, "Piece of what?" I just smiled, shrugged my shoulders, and kept talking to my lunch companion. Think he was shocked? These people want peace? No more interruptions after that.Ambiance: Very masculine. High ceilings, dark walls, leather seats, romantic yet coldly modern, interesting abstract paintings. This place was made for board room politics, connoisseurs of fine wine, and people that crave impressing others over how much they enjoyed their 1/3 of an apple they called a salad with a drizzle of heaven.Waiter: Friendly, helpful, and classy. Made good suggestions. Seemed too curious as to why Blacks were here.I mean, doesn't everyone have to eat?Food: Utterly delightful, savory to sweet flavors and aromas that will make you fall in love with "small" portions, high quality, and high prices. I had the omelet and actually didn't care for its bland taste and stringy spinach. My friend had the burger with fries, and it was super! For a $35 burger, it should be better than the duper burger!Decor: Cool bar area where one hangs out, sips, and chats. Splurge a few bills, and you will. Good place for the (hood) neighborhood, regulars who are like-minded and enjoy over attentiveness. Interestingly, the staff didn't ask any of the " other" patrons sitting outside if they needed anything. Maybe next time I'll sit outside.Parking: Metered on street parking. I found a spot 1/2 block away. Its close to a residential area where there are no meters if you don't mind walking a block or two.

This is one of the best restaurants I've been to in my life. The food, service, and atmosphere is out of this world. When I was on my trip to SF I ate here every day for a week. They have servers and wait staff checking up on you every few minutes. The managers come by to make sure the food is ok.Their attention to detail in the food and flavor is something to remember forever. This is the first restaurant I will go to when I'm back in SF. Thanks for everything, Spruce.
We celebrated our 21st anniversary at this restaurant. The hostess was very kind and kept us updated as our table was getting ready. All the folks were very courteous and kind. We loved the petite amuse-bouche and it was a delight to try out the three course meal. The beet burrata salad was delicious. My son had a carrot pasta which was different and very appetizing. The fish entree was okay, but the duck was delectable. The bread service was also good. Loved the dessert choices and the lovely pastry they presented for our anniversary. Overall a lovely experience at this restaurant. We were able to create a memorable celebration and will highly recommend this place.

This was the best brunch I've ever had! The food was beyond delicious and the service was exceptional. Granted it comes at a price but it was worth every penny. I don't know why Spruce doesn't have a Michelin Star. I would definitely do again.

Amazing experience! Spruce is my favorite high end dining experience in the Bay Area. The food was a fabulous. The service is stellar and the wine list is very thorough. I highly recommend.
I've been several times and hosted work events there as well - usually very good but this time not so great but the lobster dish was great. Not sure I'll try again in terms of the whole experience given the cost ....

It was our first time at Spruce, and it will not be our last. What a wonderful evening, and a perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. If I could give service a 6 star rating I would! Brie, Michael and the team were attentive without hovering, knowledgable and fun! The food was delicious, and the wine list! OMG! They have a destination wine list for sure! Thank you Brie, Michael and the entire staff who took care of us. It was a memorable evening.
