Squat & Gobble Café Reviews
This was our first visit and we were looking forward to going. What should have been an enjoyable breakfast was ruined by an extremely loud family. I was appalled at the noise level from their table. The food was ok, but couldn’t really enjoy it because we ate fast so we could get out of there.
I thought the food was stellar and the service really bad. Listen, don’t flip the screen expecting people that order at the counter to just add a 15-20 percent tip. Folks, we had to get up and ask for everything, and clear our own plates. Earn your money. Letting everyone know that no tip is necessary here until the wait staff actually do more than grab a plate from the counter and put it on the table.

Squat & Gobble Café is a cozy spot located right outside the muni station. The staff is friendly, and there is a good variety of offerings for breakfast and brunch. While some dishes like the salmon scramble may not feel very healthy due to oily potatoes, the Castro omelette is a popular choice. Customers can order at the counter and enjoy their meal, with options like iced tea and delicious coffee available. The café also offers items like the Angus Chuck Burger, which has a nice charred flavor and a thick patty, though some find it a bit bland and pricey. Additionally, the Mac & Cheese comes with choppy green onions. For dessert, the strawberry Nutella crepe is a delightful treat, served warm with whipped cream and a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream. Overall, it is a convenient and satisfying place to grab a meal in the area, featuring a clean eating space and great service.
