This sushi spot might take a bit of searching to find, but it's definitely worth it. Despite its unassuming appearance, the prices are surprisingly affordable without skimping on quality. The fish to rice ratio is just right, and the portions are generous. Their sashimi combo is a standout, showcasing the freshness of their fish. The staff are friendly, though the atmosphere can get a bit noisy. Overall, if you're looking for quality sushi at a reasonable price, give this place a try.

It's a small neighborhood restaurant that has all the comfort items you would expect in a Japanese place. Sushi, saki and lots of seafood/appetizers. Combo bento box meals, etc... Fast, friendly service and warmly welcomed by the owner. Food was fresh and tasty. Recommend!

The atmosphere reminds me of Japan. The food tastes better than a lot of food I've had in Japan. Lunch or dinner served with tea, miso soup & rice. I love the Katsu chicken comes with a salad, too. All for $12.00!!! Might as well order the special or sushi with these prices. Making me hungry as I type! The service is attentive without being intrusive. The TV display and music were perfect. Clean tasting, fresh food, and clean restaurant. Not Zen feeling, but a genuine casual dining Japanese experience.Parking: Street meters until 6pm, always parking in front.Wheelchair accessibility: Street level entryway.

Found this place on a whim and we will be coming back!! This is a fairly small restaurant with sushi bar seating. We were greeted with enthusiasm and got a table right away. The owner took care of us and he was so cool!!! Such a happy guy!! Everyone was friendly and it seemed that this was a good and happy work environment. It seemed to be a neighborhood spot as repeat of customers came. Owner treated everyone with such hospitality!! Food was so good and reasonably priced, too!! Don't sleep on their popcorn chicken, this was so tasty!! I need more of that!

My new go-to sushi place! The workers are nice, the sashimi is fresh, and everything is cheap. They give out complimentary miso soup as well. Great service and food at an affordable price.

Amazing food and friendly service! I was in town on a business trip and stopped in here for dinner on a Monday night. It is well-worth every penny spent.

I first met Lee and Simon when they worked at a place in my neighborhood (The Castro) and they embodied the kind of welcoming service staff that draws people back to a restaurant over and over. It has taken me WAY too long to drag myself out to Geary Blvd to check out their place. I have to say if you live nearby and don't visit this place regularly, you are really missing out. The skewers were great. The potato croquets were great, the sushi and sashimi were excellent quality, and reasonably priced, and they had my all time favorite cold sake, the "Demon Slayer". They call themselves an "Izakaya & sushi bar" which implies an informal and fun place to drink and eat, and that is exactly what it is, Many of the folks there (and it was quite crowded for a Tuesday night) had been there before and those who had not were welcomed as if they had been. They are currently only open for dinner, but well worth the trip. This is not a formal, serious, precious Japanese sushi bar experience, but informal, fun, great quality dining that will not break the bank while offering a broad range of sushi, sashimi, rolls, and other casual Japanese dishes.

WOW! I had to post a review. I ordered a combo chicken katsu and teriyaki beef. Food was fresh and hot and they even put a piece of cardboard in the bag . So everything made it in place.this place is double Q, quantity and quality. I repeat quality. Will be going back again.

Got the sashimi chef's choice and Salmon donburi. The fish was good quality, fatty and very good portion sizes at very reasonable prices. Servers were friendly and overall had a great experience. Will be our new go-to sushi spot when we're in the area.

!HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The freshest high quality fish paired with the nicest people on the planet. It always feels like a party (in a good fun way) with the waiters brining the fun energy as they serve the most delicious sushi. Have been going here consistently for the last 11 years and I can't imagine going anywhere else for Japanese food.
