We had such a solid lunch at Starbelly. The Cobb salad with grilled chicken was crisp, flavorful, and didn’t feel like a sad “I’m being healthy” decision. The pesto pizza stole the show though, perfectly cooked and insanely satisfying without being too heavy. The sangria was the icing on top, cold, refreshing, and exactly what you want with lunch. The whole place had a great vibe too, relaxed but still lively. Service was friendly and on it without hovering. Would absolutely go back and order the same thing again.

Had pizzas and salad and they were fantastic, full of flavor. The service was impeccable and the drinks are lively. 11/10 would go again!

Terrific chicken liver pate, butternut squash soup, and panna cotta cheesecake. The Starbelly Salad was only ok; surprising for a signature dish. Good service.

Love this spot for a quick lunch or brunch with one of my dearest friends who lives in the area.

I remember when they first opened and it's still as nice as it was back then. I went recently and the food and drinks were still on point as was the customer service.

Definitely a fun lil spot to catch up with friends or have a nice lil date over some tender vittles.

Excellent food and ambiance. It was very busy and I think they were short of help but all were hustling to provide quality service.

Never a disappointment. Great atmosphere. Cordial and attentive staff. And always a good meal. I ate there last night and I'm sitting here wondering why I don't go more often.

We had a nice meal at a low two-top table in the inside of the restaurant against the window of the patio. Our table was directly next to the other table on the other side of the glass. That was a bit odd, but I worked hard to not get distracted by this proximity. Hopefully, the other people did the same. We enjoyed our meal but were very bummed when what we both wanted, the Rigatoni, was not longer available and it was only 7pm. We did enjoy what we ordered and the service was good, even though one server (there seemed to be many coming to our table) forgot something we had asked for. We will be back to give this restaurant another try and we hope to enjoy the rigatoni. The vibe of the restaurant was nice.

Not a single bite disappointed. The setting felt peaceful and comfortable, making it easy to relax and enjoy the food. Our server was attentive, friendly, and truly elevated the experience. This is absolutely a place I look forward to visiting again.

The service is absolutely horrible. Staff is polite, but service is unacceptably slow, staff completely inattentive. Went here a couple weeks ago & after sitting for 20 mins and never being acknowledged, we left. Use to like this place but won't be going back!

Another fantastic find for Castro residents! This is a wonderful spot for a gathering with friends, especially with the incredibly comfortable backyard seating. The service is consistently perfect, and brunch here is our absolute favorite. If you’re visiting San Francisco or the Castro, this place is a must-stop!

One of my family's favorite spots - we prefer the back patio when we can get it - there's enough of a variety that there's always something for all (and my kids are picky) - service has always been solid and we've never been made to feel like the kids were a burden (not a rarity but can be uncommon in the city)

I have been here a few times, and most experiences have been good. This particular experience, I made a reservation for their drag brunch. The reservation was at 10:45 am, and when we arrived, only one other table was there. They placed us in the front corner of the restaurant. We ordered and ate our food before the drag brunch even began. We ended up waiting about 30 minutes for the show to start. Once the show started, the restaurant was full, and we could see absolutely nothing. In fact, one of the drag queens didn't even come to our area. It felt like our section was never a part of the show. Recommendations for the restaurant: Stop allowing reservations for the front of your restaurant. It was a horrible experience, and had I not been with someone who was their first time at a drag brunch, I would have left early. It was also apparent that the host queen was trying to come to our section, but when she did, the microphone would start to cut out. To those considering attending this event, please note in your reservation that you will not sit at the front of the establishment. If they can't accommodate this, cancel your reservation - it will be a bad experience.
