Went here for a meal and found a very limited menu. Limited alcohol selection and would not recommend it to anyone. My wife's wine had a huge lip stick stain on it, that anyone would notice if they care about cleanliness .
Order at the counter, they serve you at your table, not recommended

I have eaten at stem on three different occasions once they opened late so we waited to order. The same staff was working again today and the made the decision to close the kitchen over 35 min before closing… give the already VERY short time the place is open it was pretty stunning (they only exist between 11-3). I watched several employees in scrubs be turned away during their lunch breaks. It really left them in a pinch on a Monday when few restaurants were open. The guy behind the counter kept telling patrons “I’m sorry I don’t know any of the restaurants around here.” The place I has really decent decor, has a solid menu, but is constantly taken down by poor customer service and closures. We were also here another time and were told (at 11 when they opened) that they were having a mask or event and that we needed to eat and leave quickly… but I guess they at least offered food that time?? Foods good, but good luck with them being open when they are open.

Our niece and her fiance chose well in having Stem Kitchen as their pre-wedding meet-and-greet venue. Atmosphere was casual and light. Food was tasty. Dessert was delicious. Drinks were refreshing. A henna artist was onsite for those who wanted a tattoo. Of course I had mine on my hand.

Gluten free pizza crust here is handmade in Berkeley, frozen, and baked. Not bad. Felt like real pizza. The chef came out to discuss options with me and was super respectful, accommodating, and knew all about separation in the kitchen. The sausage and green olive pizza is delicious. Our group of ten had a wide variety of lunch options and there are enough non-alcoholic drinks for a midday work lunch. Parking below building, MUNI T line a block away, or street parking. It's hard to find located inside the building, up one floor at the back facing the bay. Ask the guard for directions or walk the ramp on the outside to enter from the Bay side. Fresh, healthy food, nice service, although be sure you communicate clearly with wait staff or they may throw out your pricey left overs. Sadly, they are still dark ages and only have one fryer that has gluten. Better places have two separate fryers. So be careful with allergies.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free accommodation, except for the fryer.

Parking: Below building parking enter at South end

We ate an early dinner before our flight to New Zealand. Delicious food options as well as a fabulous Chardonnay. Beautiful views of the Bay, outdoor kitchen garden area where you can also eat is huge. This is a must go restaurant. Limited hours though so check first.

Vegetarian options: Pizzas, salads, soup

I rarely rate 5 stars. I ran into this spot and the fact it's not more known is crazy to me. I'm a pizzaholic and this place is it. The outdoor atmosphere is gorgeous, drinks are well thought out (I had the level 3 spicy marg) and the pizza is one of the top 3 in SF. One of the few spots I'll crave on a weekly basis.

Keep doing your thing STEM.

Beautiful looking restaurant. Service was amazing, attentive and knowledgeable staff. Food was tasty (I ordered the tarragon chicken sandwich), mocktail choice of 1 and it was okay. Only issue was that there is no changing table in the restroom so unfortunately won't be rushing back anytime soon.

Kid-friendliness: Couldn't find a changing table in the restroom.

Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp to get to the restaurant but once at the door, there's no button to open the door.

Love the outdoor space! I've been around this area many times, and I have never seen this beautiful, hidden garden. The staff were wonderful and the food was great. We'll be back again!
