I went to this location on a whim during one of the country-wide promotions for free subs.Admittedly, I was hesitant to even ask since the vast majority of Subway locations are franchised, which leaves the door open for exactly what happened.Upon entering the location, I knew the vibe was off, & unsurprisingly, the person working knew nothing of any such promotion.Granted, since I wasn't paying, I can't be too upset, but to constantly get profiled & subsequently denied service does get tiresome. Not to mention the notorious fine print "at select locations". Overall, I would suggest going to an alternate location versus this one. If a franchised branch is unwilling to honor a promotion, I would imagine the level of service is on par with its unwillingness to potentially gain new customers.Overall, this place is not the best place to go if you're of African descent. Online shopping is unfortunately still the best route to take, as it takes profiling out of the equation. However, there are other fast food restaurants, local bodegas, and grocery stores in The City that value not only your business but will also treat you in a respectful manner.As you can see from my other reviews, I have not had the most pleasant experiences lately in The Bay Area. However! At great personal risk to myself, I write these reviews based on my experience so that others will benefit from the experiences that I have. But always do your own research!

The lady made each order for 4 of us with no issues and moved along nicely. She was patient and friendly. She even moved some tables together for us right after making our orders.

THE FOOD WAS ROTTEN. I can't take a picture of how rotten smells but the smell of the prepared sandwiches was unbearable. Threw away both of them as soon as I got home and opened them. On top of all of this wasted $25 is that the lady making the sandwiches (who was nice enough) had no clue how to make sandwiches or the options on the menu or even just things I was saying. I figured before going in "ehh it's Subway, I know it's not great" but literally so disappointed. This has literally turned me off of ever going to a subway again. Also the apple juice has literal mold and chunks in it????Edit: also no matter how many times I said the word combo, she just kept individually ringing up cookies, drink, chips, etc
Be careful of this subway. I've ordered twice in the last few days & both days they have short changed me. Both orders included drinks; 2 cokes & 2 sprites. Not only did I not receive them, but I couldn't even get my $ back. So I think that Subway owes me a refund for these drinks & from now on I might just order from the other subway at Geary & Masonic!
