Nice open space that was sadly quiet around lunchtime. You order at a kiosk and take a number, waiting a few minutes before shockingly good Detroit pizza slices are delivered to your table. Pretty filling too, so you really only need two slices for a lunch. Plus the non-Detroit items are pretty good too. Lemon Pepper Wings: I'd normally avoid non-spicy wings, but all the reviews had me curious, so decided to give them a try. Was pleasantly surprised! Reminded me of those lightly breaded chicken cutlets in some sort of buttery lemon sauce. Like chicken piccata, but without capers. Delicious creamy sauce. The wings were all drumettes, so big plus in my book. Plus they threw in 7 wings, instead of 6, so a nice bonus. The fry was mostly good, though I did encounter some soggy skin on a wing or two. Cheesy Garlic Monkey Bread: It's more like garlic knots stuck together with some cheese. The pairing with marinara dipping sauce is nice, since it's like your own deconstructed pizza. Though the marinara was cold, so that was no fun. Also, for something billed as "Cheesy", I was hoping there would be more cheese. Only the first few bites were really cheesy, then most of the cheese was pulled of. Detroit Pepperoni Slice: A classic done right. Crispy cheese edges. Perfectly cupped pepperoni so the circumference is crispy and the inside is tender. Globs of soft cheese for extra richness. Even a single basil leaf so you can say you're getting your greens. Probably the best slice option in the area. Detroit Bulldog Slice: A true original serving up a huge blast of umami. I've never had freshly sliced bonito flakes or kewpie mayo or bulldog sauce on a pizza before, but it oddly works. There was bulgogi too, but barely noticeable because just a few pieces. It's so overwhelming, I think one slice is my max, but it was an interesting experience. I think it's best to pair this with a more traditional slice. Kick' BBQ Chicken Slice: Apparently they don't just excel at Detroit slices, their regular slices are also really good. Normally not into BBQ chicken pizza, preferring more traditional arrangements, but figured I'd give it a try since they're known for their creativity here. Loaded with heavily marinated chicken thigh pieces then slathered in BBQ sauce and ranch, there was so much flavor going on. Also, loads of chicken, one slice + one appetizer could easily be a meal. Pizza Logs: I'm a big fan of mozzarella sticks since even mediocre mozzarella sticks are delicious when you have stringy mozzarella and tangy marinara to dip it in. They definitely made that base criteria here. However, I wasn't a fan of the spring roll type wrapper. Lacked all the herbs and spices that you find in typical mozzarella breading. I mean, it's still melted cheese, so I liked it, but they could have done better.

Brussel sprouts square: this might have been the best pizza I've ever had with Brussel sprouts as a topping! They were so crispy and garlicky. The cheese they piped on it helped make the pizza super creamy and the crust gave it the perfect crunch. It was a seasonal pizza but definitely give it a try if they still have it. Mushroom square: wasn't the biggest fan of this one even though I love mushrooms. It was just a bit too mushy for my liking but the rest of the pizza was the same as the brussel sprouts square Bbq chicken slice: loveddd that this had a drizzle of ranch on top and the bbq sauce wasn't overly sweet. Some crunchy onions added texture. The crust wasn't as good as the square slices but it was still good! Service was super quick as they just heat up the slices real quick. The inside of the place had plenty of seating and looked like a place you can hang out at.

Horrible experience. Arrived 30 min after opening and for some reason the lights were still off. Ordered a square pizza slice which came out cold and wet on the bottom. I went to ask somebody for parmesan because there was none in sight three guys looked at me like I was crazy. They scrambled around for 10 minutes to find some and handed me some old parmesan packets. Other customers were frustrated because of the lack of attention from the business. I don't know if I came on a bad day but something wasn't right here!

This place looks good on the outside. We went in they told us to sit anywhere. You order via QR code, someone dropped off water but there is no one to ask questions about the food or anything like that. The pizza also takes a longer time than I would expect for the size of the pizzas.Would not recommend seems trendy for the price. Would not visit again.

Super disappointing. I've tried several Detroit style pizza joints around the Bay Area and this is easily the worst. It tasted like metal or a burnt oven. There was no char on the corners and one of my slices was way undercooked and doughy. The one thing all Detroit style pizzas should have, at a minimum, is the charred cheesey edges.Sauce was bland. Other than the metal taste, it was pretty flavorless. Also the priciest out of the ones I've tried.I can't believe the good reviews. Maybe I went on an off day? Not going back to find out.

Ordered on a whim through Uber eats for me and 3 friends. Definitely let my eyes do the ordering as we had too much. But everything was fantastic! Would definitely order again!

My kids and I absolutely love sunset squares with its cheesy crust - it’s literally the only pizza with a crust that I actually want to eat. The monkey bread is also super delicious and so are the pizza fries. This is a great spot for the whole family and staff are super nice.

Let me get straight to the point here...the Detroit style pizza is NOT good. At all. I don't know if the people leaving good reviews about the pizza reference the DET style, a different style, or just don't know good pizza but this was not at all a good pizza. The sauce, the creamy white cheese dots on top, the crust...all bad. I mean after eating one piece I was basically done, there's a funky aftertaste. The only positive is the beer selection and the cool looking interior along with the good service. Another thing is that they're overpriced on the pizza too, at least the DET style. I think it was nearly $30!

They are available to order inside the sunset square food court. We had coffee at pixlcat coffee and also ordered food from the various vendors inside the central kitchen. This slice was perfect and the bread was the perfect texture. So flavorful and perfect bite. The service inside is quick and friendly . The ambiance has a cool vibe to it and super spacious.

Love sunset squares pizza food hall! Great atmosphere and cool concept being able to order from 5-6 different menus. Pixl Cat coffee, Namu stonepot, Uncle Tito’s, Girlfriend Pizza (all gluten free), Flash Crash $6 burger, Sunset Squares pizza, and maybe more menus coming soon? All so good! Including the craft beer menu. My kids love the honey butter pub pie, mushroom square pizza, charred broccoli, half pint ice cream sundae, baked ziti and mochiko chicken! I love the wine.
