Order the jumbo chicken and it wasn’t. The quarter leg and thigh was crunchy. Asked for pineapple but the lady wasn’t listening so ahh!!Also had the chicken wings and those were good. Crunchy and soft on the inside. The garlic rice was ok. Didn’t get no sauces so altogether a 3 star.No parking so park across the street at Safeway.

The fried pork chops (center) are delicious and a great value. The sarangani (left), a smoked fish fillet, was a great surprise. The meat was moist and tender with a smoky flavor. The tuyosilong (right), whole dried fish the size of sardines, might be too much asian flavor if not accustomed to dried seafood. I would definitely come back for breakfast/lunch. BTW, the leftovers are delicious if reheated in an air fryer.

Extremely tasty and affordable food. The service is also high quality and friendly. Tons of stores nearby to stay busy while you wait. Takeout only. I recommend the longsilog, the chicken nuggets, and the friend pork chop.

Very friendly service, incredibly affordable prices, and super tasty food. Their garlic rice is very special, and there are tons of tasty proteins to complement it. I recommend the longanisa, chicken nuggets (trust me), and fried pork chop. Cash only and only takeout. Will be busy around lunch time, maybe a 15 minute wait. Very worth it, and you can shop for Mexican groceries next door while you wait.Vegetarian options: Limited vegetarian protein options, but delicious if you like eggs and garlic rice!

Superstar is our ultimate go to when we want silogs! My family and I have been going there for so many years. We e tried everything on their menu. The Hong Kong style pork chops are my favorite! Of course the longonisa, tocino, and bangus are also yummy! It's great that the owners know all their customers. The restaurant is small, but the food speaks for the whole restaurant! I highly recommend Superstar to anyone who's looking for some yummy breakfast food that could also be lunch or dinner.

My go to when I'm trying to get jiggy with $10 or less. Superstar always comes through.#14, Hong Kong Porkchops with the Garlic Rice, fried egg and tomatoes. If you feeling extra jiggy, go with some longaniza on the side. It smacks. Throw some sriracha sauce in the mix, you really feastin like a king for under $10.Haven't tried Gateway Kitchen so I can't really compare the quality from Gateway to Superstar, but you can tell this is a true staple to the Mission. Serves both Geneva and Excelsior. There's no place to eat inside so don't expect this to be dine in restaurant. Take your ass somewhere nearby, and enjoy this plate while it's hot. If your like me on foot and feeling extra hungry, I just hit Kenny Alley near the spot and start chompin' down.Be patient with your order too. Don't be weird and stare at these kind people while they're making your order. I see people doing this all the time since there is no place to sit inside. Take your ass somewhere like Safeway across the street, get you a drink or browse the munchie section. You don't have to buy anything but kill some time, come back and your order should be ready and hot.
