Fresh fish. Refined. Frankly delicious. Simple and surprising at the same time. I even enjoyed the dessert. Perfect amount of food (I was worried about “19 courses!!”) —we did not feel overstuffed after dinner. The building itself is ugly but they've done wonders for their restaurant space. Atmosphere is low lights, chocolate colored ceilings, moody. Narrow table makes for great quiet conversation with the person you're dining with. Service was warm and attentive. Overall, wonderful —will go again.
I wanted to treat my girlfriend after having a hard work week and was recommended this fine establishment by a friend. IT WAS WONDERFUL! Chef and staff were awesome. Ambiance was great and a subtle hole in the wall spot. Everyone who was doing the omakase experience with us was going at their own pace and it was great. Restaurant itself has very cozy decor and we loved it. After last night, it's definitely our favorite omakase spot !
The service was lovely the chef was amazing as well. My partner and I got sick while dining. Not sure why everything seems of quality and fresh. This place is great, but the food make us sick. Everything else about this place was awesome, complimentary drinks for the anniversary we celebrated from the service and the chef.
Incredible omakase menu and experience. The chef was a great host and explained every single item that he served. Food was phenomenal and the service was kind and attentive. We will be back.
DO NOT EAT HERE -- most inconsiderate restaurant. We had reservations for this restaurant via open Table at 930 pm on December 24 -- Christmas Eve! Upon arriving at the restaurant, the manager said they were closed (even though the door was open and the sign outside said OPEN). I said that we had a 9:30 pm reservation and that it was confirmed. The guy just looked at me and said "Oh, we decided to close. Sorry" and I said, "it's Christmas Eve and we have a confirmed reservation and you're not honoring the reservation?" So we just left after spending a $15 Uber ride to and a $15 Uber ride from the place back to our hotel. Plus the guy lied and said he didn't have our reservation. Minutes after leaving the restaurant, the restaurant CANCELLED our reservation. So dishonest. We were happy not to eat there because there was a roach on the wall when we were leaving. Obviously a sign not to eat there. Don't waste your time patronizing an inconsiderate business. That's my advice to fellow Yelpers. Pass on this place.
Delicious, as good as anywhere in the city.

What an absolutely perfect omakase experience! The chefs were kind, engaging, and incredibly smart while still being approachable. We were able to ask questions while enjoying and laughing together. We learned that the fish we ate was from all over the world; we learned the cuts, preparation, everything. Was such a delicious fun and interactive experience; definitely recommend and can't wait to come back.
Sushihon was great experience! Every course was yummy and the quality was superb. The ambience is chic romantic, which was perfect for celebrating our anniversary. Plus the price is pretty reasonable. We'll be back.
Amazing fresh sushi and individual approach to every guest!

Genuinely the worst Omekasa I have ever had, and somehow one of the most expensive. Dinner for 2 supplemental + alcohol was $800 with tip. So, it's pricing itself with the best. We reserved a sushi bar seat, when we arrived, they say us at a table and told us the bar was closed. That's ... Fine. We were then seated next to the loudest BOOM BOX blasting music, genuinely dumb struck by that decision, when I think omakase, I think loud music, we had to request to change seats because the speaker was a foot before my chair. Rip the person who took our seats after we moved. The sushi itself was mostly good with the single exception of spoiled Uni which I literally ran to the restroom to spit out. Other than the literal spoiled fish the meal was good I guess. 1.5/10, avoid like the plague. Worst in the city, does not justify $800

We had a brilliant time. Chef was a joy to talk to, service was excellent, the sake pairings were perfect, and above all, the dishes absolutely blew our minds. It will be tough to stomach nigiri and sashimi anywhere else after that.
Took my hubby here for his birthday dinner and we had a great time. I love how inconspicuous this place is from the outside! Inside, the experience did not disappoint. The service was warm and welcoming, and the food and drinks delicious. We left full and wanting to come back for their Lunch Omakase.

One of the BEST omakase experiences we ever had!
My husband and I celebrated our official wedding anniversary at Sushi Hon. Thanks to their lunch service, we were able to enjoy fine dining during the day while the toddler was at school. We weren't expecting much since it was during lunchtime, but we were completely blown away by the quality of the food and service.
Chef Yong was one of the most creative, down to earth, personable, and thoughtful chefs we've ever interacted with.
He not only blessed our senses of sight, taste, smell, and touch with beautifully presented dishes, perfectly balanced ingredients (especially rice), and amazing sushi/hand rolls, but also complemented our hearing and hearts with his passion for sushi, detail behind how he prepares each ingredient and menu, and his philosophy behind serving the best food and meeting each customer at their eye level.
We will definitely come back again, and we highly recommend taking a visit to Sushi Hon if you haven't already.

Had a great omakase dinner for the first time here. I’ve tried and tasted countless of omakases over many decades and this place is definitely a top 5 best of mine.
