Was headed downtown for a concert and this restaurant was along the way of the Metro so we decided to try it out. The sushi were decent and tasty. The sashimi were sliced thicker than I'm used to but was not an issue. Overall no complaints with the food. If I had to nitpick, the atmosphere felt a bit of a mix bag with European paintings and all-cantonese speaking staff which questions the authenticity of the (Japanese) restaurant. Then again, who am I to judge, we ordered a maki with cream cheese 🤣

Stopped in for lunch had a couple rolls and tried the chicken teriyaki. The fish was very fresh and delicious. The lunch special came with a soup, salad & rice. Large portion of chicken. It was tender and crispy for like 12 bucks can’t beat it. Awesome experience thank you.

Food is tasty and service is wonderful! Staff knows that we love to sit by the fish tank and always greets us with a hot cuppa tea. Sushi is affordable and tastes fresh. Feels like a cozy neighborhood eatery. There’s always families who come in to enjoy the food and atmosphere.

Absolutely shocked by how good this place was— I preferred the nigiri here to some omakase places we’ve been to recently. Prices were nothing short of amazing considering the quality, artistry, and selection. Hidden gem!

The owner seems very impatient to us asking questions. The food is okay and they provided fried shrimp head if you order amaebi:) I think if they could improve their attitude a bit better, that will be awesome.

the sushi is always absolutely delicious, the prices are good, and the service is amazing. everything is good but whatever's on the board is extra fresh. I've been here a few times, and every time I'm surprised it isn't full. I can't stress enough how great sushi suki is!

This has been my favorite Japanese restaurant since 2006. The vibe has not changed one bit, nor the people. The food is amazing and fresh. West portal is also a very cute area of the city to enjoy while there.
Vegetarian options: The avocado asparagus roll is my favorite vegetarian roll
