Too little, too late. I just read that Cliff House is closing not due to pandemic but due to other reasons. At this point, I can only pen this review as an ode to this iconic institution. Lands end hike with a meal at Cliff House has come up in the top things to do in SF for decades. Cliff House is a charming bistro set on top of a cliff as the name suggests in a historic building. Iconic restaurant for great food and amazing views of the beach, with waves smashing on the rocks below. This was my go to place when I felt stressed out from teaching. Every classic movie star that ever lived has their autographed picture up on the wall. A must see when visiting the Bay Area. There is a hiking path that curves around the bend with a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Enjoy!

Historical landmark. Nice atmosphere with amazing service and outstanding view of the sutro baths and ocean.Hope they make it through the pandemic. A must go for any visitor or local. Makes for a very romantic, decently priced meal.
