Gorgeous hidden gem in the financial district! This is a must stop for the area. It made our pride day better by stopping here! Wonderful staff and lovely outdoor patio.

So I have attempted to write this a few times. Since the last time I was here. Full disclosure, I'm a former industry worker. My visits to this location have been absolutely phenomenal based on the bartenders and staff. Top notch. Great atmosphere.
My complaint is 25% my fault and the rest to be delegated. I was here a few weeks ago catching up with a friend of mine that I haven't seen in about 2 years. My Ukrainian friend, she can go drink for drink with my 6-ft 10 self. We enjoy each other's company we're having a great time and the topic of Scotch came up, because we had been drinking vodka sodas or evening. And one of the lovely bartenders that was working. We specifically said hey we want to switch to Scotch. Her and I were celebrating a moment and Scotch was appropriate at the time. We specifically told her that we want to do two scotches. I like my Scotch light to med. Highland. I usually go for a McAllen 12 double cast.
We both specifically to mention to the bartender, hey we would like to do our next round to be scotch. We would like to keep it in the $20 range. We're not trying to spend a whole bunch of money. But based on the conversation it was appropriate that we order a scotch. My friend prefers something peaty. I like highland. So I said hey can I grab the McAllen 12 and my friend's orders laphroaig 10 yr. Keeping in mind that we made an effort to request a price range. Because I know in San Francisco some places overcharged. For example I get my Macallen 12 at my favorite bar for about a 2 oz pour for 12 bucks. I know that's cheap. Here's my issue. We said this is our price range. I request it the Macallen And it was $31. $31. Want a bottle cost $64.99. not only that it was a 1 oz for. I know different places will do a 1¼ or ½. But this was straight up a 1 oz pour. For $31. When I said hey we like to have something in the $20 range. But then the laphroaig 10 yr was I think $22. And that bottle goes for about $37. The audacity of a place to charge $31 for Macallen 12 double cast. $31 for 1 oz.
At $31 per ounce for a $64 bottle. There are approximately 25 oz and one bottle which would net $775 for a $64 bottle. I am pissed off.. I am not accusing the bartenders of scamming me or ripping me off. Maybe they didn't hear me. But I don't want to tell a business owner how much they should make. But making $700 on a $64 bottle of Scotch. And when the guest specifically is not familiar with your prices tells you they don't want to spend more than a $20 range. And your bartender pours a 1 oz pour of Scotch and charges $31. There's a problem. Mine because I'm a former bartender. And my friend is friends with all of us that used to work in industry. And we're just both get human beings. We still tipped 25%. Bartender for great. Food is good. But got ripped off

Best place for cheap after-work drinks. The staff are really friendly too. Don’t miss pizza on Fridays (if that’s still a thing)
