Super glad this place survived the pandemic.The staff are friendly, the shop has a classic feel that’s missing in most places, and the food! - you’ll never leave hungry. Even the regular sandwich size is well portioned. Bbq beef is my go-to.Love the smoothies as well. My favorite is the strawberry banana.
Strong performance by an egoless little neighborhood cafe. Sandwich prices, like the decor, is from decades past: $6.50 each. Amazing quality and value for your buck, fresh ingredients and a nice assortment of bread and fillings. Their pastrami on a soft French roll was delish, and my mom wife's veggie sandwich in Dutch Crunch was also "yummy" by her account. I've been coming here 2 times a week for years and this is by far my favorite sandwich shop in SF. The staff is amazing and the community of people who come to the shop are all great and supportive. I always get the Pastrami Sandwich on Dutch Crunch and swiss cheese. Can't go wrong.
