I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived right an opening and there was no line whatsoever. I ordered the yuzu salmon and chicken onigiri, both of which were absolutely scrumptious! I could tell they were made to order too because the rice was warm. The spam musubis on the other hand were prepackaged and did not look fresh at all. Cannot comment on the sandos or matcha so will have to come back next time I’m in the Mission.

such a wonderful matcha latte with salted cheese cream. I came to visited San Francisco for a week and planned to try a lot of good matcha places. I would say it’s the best matcha with salted cheese cream I have ever had in the USA. Plus, their Musubi was so good! Perfect! Not to salty so so so good!

It’s basically a pop up style cafe, somewhere to go to pick up a matcha or snack. There’s a few small tables set up outside and a few counter seats inside. I tired the black sesame latte and an eel Musubi, which were okay.

Good onigiri and matcha lattes. Best for pickup, though a few seats available inside with more tables outside.

I got the Strawberry Cream Matcha and it was definitely one of the better matchas I have had in the Bay. It wasn’t too sweet and enhanced the matcha flavor nicely. I went in the evening around 4pm so there wasn’t much of a wait to order. Would love to try their Pistachio Cream Matcha next!

My daughter hyped this place up so I that it was going to be out of this world. But honestly it was just alright. Not sure if it was really worth the drive. It was a bit expensive at that. Our drinks were a bit bland, wish it was better. Our sandwiches were good so no complaints there. But there was alot of food traffic so they are quite busy.

I love this place! It's always crowded and there is a big line (and for a reason!), so I recommend grabbing take out and enjoy it at Dolores park nearby - honestly, my best lunch combo:)
I love the chicken karaage sando - perfectly balanced in flavor, spice and textures, shrimp tempura sando, and sweet options they have. Just tried the red bean mochi & matcha cream - it's so fun and unusual!
The matcha is great! What I love about it is that you can regulate sweetness. Besides milk substitutions, there are a few fun add-on options, like strawberry puree (10/10!), pistachio (will try next time), cheese foam (I love it!).
The staff is always nice and friendly.
Overall, I love this place and enjoy the food every time!

I’ve only gotten their food and drinks delivered so far but I love it! Their matcha drinks are smooth and not bitter. Love the pistachio flavored one! And their onigiri are delicious! :)

Two standouts at Tadaima:

The matcha drinks and the fruit cream sandwich. The matcha latte has a very earthy matcha taste to it which I love. The earthier the better. The drink was not too sweet and well balanced. The fruit sandwich was amazing! The fruits used in the sandwich are kiwi, strawberry, grape, and pineapple. All of the fruits were of the highest quality and were really juicy and sweet. The cream and Japanese white bread were the perfect compliment to the fruit and made for a very enjoyable and refreshing sandwich! It was my first of this kind and I would definitely get it again!

The shop itself is very small, so be prepared to take your drinks/food with you, or find one of the few tables/chairs set up on the sidewalk to enjoy.

Service was quick, friendly, and efficient.

Ordered the chicken karaage sando and the strawberry cream sando, along with two pistachio matchas. Quality was excellent, really enjoyed all of it. The only gripe I would have is with the pricing, although for San Fran it is not insane.

When I went in, something was giving off a really high-pitched uncomfortable noise that filled the place. Really killed any interest I had in ordering.

Good matcha! But they never asked if I wanted sugar, and I assumed they were not going to add it, so it was a bit too sweet for my taste.

As a dentist who’s been proudly serving this community for over 30 years—I deeply appreciate what Tadaima brings to our neighborhood.

This isn’t just a matcha spot; it’s a thoughtfully run local gem. The quality of their ingredients is top-tier (which I always notice, given how much I talk to patients about what goes into their bodies!), and the care they put into every drink shows. Their matcha is smooth, vibrant, and never overly sweet—perfectly balanced and clearly crafted with intention.

I often stop by after seeing patients for a little moment of peace. The space is calm, clean, and inviting, and the staff are genuinely kind. It’s the kind of place that adds real value to a community—not just another café, but a spot that people grow attached to.

In a world where chains seem to be taking over every corner, I’m grateful for a business like Tadaima that takes pride in quality, connection, and consistency. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out.
