During my visit recently, I realized that this place has changed owners. Upon entering the store the customer service was already present. Greeting me politely and walking me to my table. I didn't eat much because I just wanted some skewers and small food to eat with my friends. The skewers were A+, tender and had amazing flavors.Furthermore the ambiance at night was cozy because of the music playing and the lighting. It was a fun vibe and we were able to select some songs we wanted to playOverall, this was a fun experience and would definitely head back here soon.

I thought Taishan Taste Hot Pot was a great restaurant to get a late night meal on Friday night. I came with a group at 1am, and they weren't serving hot pot or some of their other rice and noodle dishes but they had a lot of dim sum options. Their skewers were so cheap ($3-4) so you can try a lot of different options. They had a great cumin spice rub on the skewer meats, which might be a little spicy for some. I wasn't a huge fan of the XLB, there wasn't much soup in the dumplings and I've had better. Overall I would recommend trying this spot if you're looking for cheap shareable food that everyone can try.

We came here for Dim Sum. There are some promotions: for $3.8, you get the dish whose regular price is $6 or above. But they limit the promotion to only two dishes.Dining environment is great and service is awesome! They use something called 屏风 to separate the tables so it does protect people from virus spread. They also have VIP rooms.

Changed my rating to 3 after my second visit to this place. Their food tasted not good anymore. I do not recommend this place anymore.

This is a great little spot. Food is really tasty and is freshly made when you order. I feel like I'm eating at my grandmother's house if that makes any sense. Try to support local businesses.

We weren’t all that pleased with our dim sum here.We had BBQ pork buns which were small, not well filled and the flavor was okay. The sui mai was better, and the sesame balls were over fried…I won’t be coming back

Taishan is a bit of a hole in the wall, but we had some amazing dim sum here. Ended up coming in on a random Thursday evening and had the place to ourselves. Service was a bit curt, but the food was excellent - major shoutout to the steamed pork buns! Average item was around $5, which is more than reasonable.

Stopped by on a weekend late afternoon lunch and it was really quiet here. We were initially thinking to do hot pot, but the prices were kind of exorbitant. They charge for each item, and I guess I'm used to the all you can eat style. We skipped on hot pot and opted for a la carte dim sum instead. The food was just ok. Everything came out pretty quickly and didn't really stand out for me, and to top it off, a couple of us had stomach problems all night afterward. Can't exactly point fingers here, but it just seems a little coincidental. Service is friendly though, and everyone was accommodating. And maybe their strength is hot pot but I'm not sure I'd risk another visit to find out.

Don't even try the $9 plates, they are super small. We ordered a walnut shrimp. It comes with about 5 tiny shrimps and five walnut halves. The chow fun was decent, but again on a tiny salad plate. The BBQ pork is awful. Tourist rip off place. The Dim Sum is frozen then thawed variety, yes, they were hand made somewhere and taken out from freezer. We witnessed it. The water for the tea is lukewarm, and tasteless. Couple of my group had food poisoning symptoms afterwads. I give one star for the OK service. Eat there at your own risk.
