Dined here last week to celebrate a friend's birthday and to catch up. This was my first visit after the pandemic and not much has changed, though there seems to be less customers dining in. Plenty of takeout orders did get picked up while we were there. The decor is dated and some food prep does happen in the dining room but that's no surprise for a neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Unless you're super hungry, you'll likely have leftovers. I liked the pot stickers, an eggplant and pork dish, and sizzling rice soup - except that we specified chicken only and an errant shrimp joined the bowl. My friend is allergic but thankfully, he'd have to ingest the shrimp to get sick. Our server was super apologetic and continued to search the bowl for additional shrimp before proceeding to serve it, with my friend's permission. If we wanted we could have asked for new bowl of soup. If you have any food allergies, do let them know and check the dishes before you dig in.

The staff is polite, helpful and cooperative. The food quality is good and the restaurant is pure vegetarian.

Fried rice came with big portions and retained some moisture, not too dried. Twice-cooked pork was juicy and came with a good amount of cabbage. Fried reddish cake is crispy outside and soft inside. I like the sweet sauce it came with.

Their beef stew soup noodles 牛肉面 are excellent. I eat it all the time. I've been coming here for 30 years when the current owners uncle ran it.

Having dined at Taiwan Restaurant's past locations on University Ave in Berkeley and Columbus and Broadway Sts in SF Chinatown, somehow I've never visited this location in the Richmond District. Our friends decided to have dinner here one evening and I was looking forward to the good experiences I've had at this restaurant.Arriving around 6:15pm on a Saturday, there were only two tables of diners. Checking out the menu, it looked familiar as it had specialty Taiwanese dishes and Cantonese dishes with Taiwanese dishes within each category. We discussed what we wanted and decided on:Potstickers - We had two orders of six. Potstickers were large with a nice pan-fried crisp on them. They were generously filled with a pork mixture. Lion's Head - three large pork meatballs with Napa cabbage in a clay pot. I'm not an expert in this dish, but it was tasty.Pork Chop Noodle Soup - a bowl of large egg noodles with mustard green soup with a plate of cut up fried pork chop. The pork was crispy and tasty. The broth could have had more flavor.Asparagus Beef - a Cantonese dish, the asparagus beef was stir fried in a black bean sauce. Good flavor and prepared well.Bean and Meat Sauce Noodles - also known as ja jiang mein, the sauce had minced pork and onions and bean sprouts which is mixed with the egg noodles on the bottom of the bowl. It was good, but I expected the sauce to be darker from the black beans and wished it had a stronger/richer flavor.Pickled Mustard Greens with Flat Tofu - This Taiwanese dish consisted of the flat tofu or dried bean curd mixed with the mustard greens. I wasn't sure if I would like this dish, but it was simple but tasty. Overall, the food was good and wished a couple of dishes had richer flavors. Service was efficient and friendly. A good choice for Taiwanese/Cantonese cuisine on Clement St.

Sorry all of my pics are half eaten we were so hungry forgot to take pictures until we were almost done and as you can see there's still plenty of food left. Forgot to take pictures of Mongolian beef and moo shoo pork wrap. Everything was good. Would recommend to anyone nearby.

Been coming here for years with my family. We especially like ordering the potstickers, haven't found another place that can get so much filling into a little potsticker. All the wrappers of the potstickers and dumplings are homemade and you can even watch the chef make them in the window! They also make fresh soy milk and we love ordering the hot soy milk and a side of sweet Chinese donut. The sweet donut is unlike it's savory counterpart, the dough is dense and bready. It soaks up the soy milk and makes for a fun bite. Their pork chop noodle is also a hit. The pork chop is thinly breaded with a slightly sweet coating. While the noodles are thin and bouncy served with pickled vegetables. If you're into thicker noodles you can order the Shanghai stir fried noodles that features an especially thick and chewy noodle. Similar to a chow mein it has vegetables, with your choice of meat. Overall a solid place for lunch or dinner!
