Went for lunch with family. Friendly staff. Cool ambience and warm enough inside seating to escape the freezing wind outside. All the food we ordered were delicious. Grilled pork chop was tender and juicy. It has a smoky flavour so it must be charcoal grilled. Price wise, it is good value considering the big portion sizes. Happy customer.

Just ok. It’s not authentic Vietnamese, the name is Tagalog which should tell you pretty much all you need to know.

Had the five spice chicken and the vermicelli with pork and imperial rolls, plus a side of soup. Very good food overall, but not the best Vietnamese we've tried in the city. But all in all, a great option.

The experience at this place was absolutely atrocious. I ordered online for delivery and they forgot the noodles for my pho. Instead of giving me a full refund or delivering noodles, they gave me a $3 refund for my $40 order. Never come to this place.

I went to the Vietnamese restaurant, Tanglad for Vietnamese food. The main dish, grilled meat, rice and sliced vegetables, was delicious. Even I was almost full, I ate almost everything including spring rolls. The spring rolls with the special sauce was a perfect combination to enjoy Vietnamese food! You can try it after looking around the Dolores park!

The portion size was very small for an order of imperial rolls. It worked out to more than two dollars per roll the size of a breakfast sausage.

Great spot in the heart of the Castro. One of the best grilled pork chops I’ve ever had, highly recommend. The service was great and we walked right in on a Friday night.

Good ambiance (aside from the music), poor customer service, okay food which comes quickly.

I usually order the vegetarian pho and ask for an extra side of fried tofu because I don’t think it comes with enough personally :)

Unfortunately, every time I’ve been here I have to get up to ask the servers to bring water, utensils, and napkins to my table which is weird. Twice I’ve stood there waiting to be seated while FoH are on their phones and don’t notice me. I always tip at least 20%, and you usually pay before receiving your food here, but it’s always a bummer to not receive quality service after giving the benefit of the doubt.

This time, my server gave away my table while I was in the restroom which pushed me to write this review. He was apologetic but then continued to forget to bring chopsticks, napkins, and water. I noticed one of the other servers kind of picked up his slack at my table and a few others.

Excellent portions and quality for the price. The Castro isn't cheap, but the prices here were reasonable, and they definitely filled me up.

We got the spring rolls. They were tasty but falling apart slightly. The peanut sauce was delicious.

I got the 5 spice chicken vermicelli. The chicken was absolutely amazing - so tender and flavorful. The imperial rolls were also very good, and there was a good ratio of noodles to vegetables. I wish the sauce had a tiny bit more tang (more fish sauce?), but it was still good.

The staff greeted us nicely, the food was brought out quickly and they were very attentive to us while we ate. The place was clean and I loved the plant wall in the first room. Would recommend.

Tangled is a cute little restaurant in the heart of Castro. They have the main seating area inside and a “garden” section with a plant wall that feels like a cozy indoor patio.

I ordered the Seafood Combo Pho on a rainy day and it hit the spot! The Pho came with shrimp, calamari, imitation crab, fish balls, vegetables and noodles. It was filling and well priced at $16.50 for what it came with. I will say I wish the broth was a bit more flavorful, but it was still very tasty and satisfying.

We had a wonderful dinner here of vegetarian pho, seafood pho, and cold noodle bowl with lemongrass beef, plus the summer roll. The lemongrass beef was lean, tender, and flavorful, the vegetarian soup was delicious and flavorful with copious vegetables, and the summer rolls had the crispy fried center that we love. The owner and staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely visit again!

Really great service, the pho was tasty, and the hostess and server were really thoughtful about my gluten allergy.
