Unfortunately they were sold out of all breakfast items except chicken and waffles?? Very strange but it was good!
I Googled Soul Food, and Tasteebuds came up? Check the menu online saw Shrimp & Grits on the breakfast choices and said the my wife I think we found our spot. When we arrived scanned QR code I was delighted to see collard greensa and fried chicken as offerings, but what got me was the vibe, folks that was serving did look like me at all ,even the customers were all variety San Francisco was kinda like that, at least what little I saw fo9d was good, service was good, struck up a convoy with local about taxi and transit that was good also. Like I'm trying to say Tastebuds is where the emphasis Should Be on Soul not just the food.

Good food and coffee. Very friendly service. I eat there oftrn...
I ordered takeout online. When I arrived, I waited over an hour to be told my order was not received despite having confirmation. After sharing this, my order was still not made, when I asked why 15 minutes later, I was told because they “were not sure I still wanted it.” after expressing my frustration, I received no apology or any attempt made to make it right. I never leave reviews but I am SO SO disappointed to be treated like this in a place I’ve spent so much money at and frequented so often.

The food is soooo good. Reasonably priced and tastes great. I will say that I noticed this stale, unpleasant smell in the place, but besides that, great!

I drove all the way from Oakland for breakfast at Tastebuds, and unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment.
I was left in disbelief by the main issue: the chicken. When my 12-year-old daughter said her chicken was tasteless and dry, I didn't believe her until I took a bite myself. For a meal that cost almost $70 for two plates and drinks (including a 15% tip), the poor quality was unacceptable.
Adding to the frustration, they had run out of the steak and eggs and hadn't been able to restock during the week. Given the distance I traveled and the price, I felt compelled to leave this review. Overall, this was not the experience I expected

False represation of soul place. Nothing soulful about this place. From the onset horrible introduction. Just walked out. If I could give it no stars I would.

Amazing spot for breakfast. Some of the tastiest Shrimp and Grits I've ever had.
Also love the ordering at the counter but deliver to your table style. Makes it very easy for a group to go out together and not worry about splitting the check?

Came here for brunch with a friend. It was just ok, nothing super special about it. They definitely need more help, though. Dirty tables, line of people, food in the window, all this requires more help.
