The food was absolutely delicious. I've been to other Burma restaurants and the food is always good but Teakwood's was even better! It felt a bit more elevated yet still casual. I'm totally going back there over other Burma restaurants!

My daughter and love Teakwood before a performance at the ballet or symphony or opera. The location is terrific and the food and service are excellent. Last night we split a Tea Leaf salad that was prepared tableside. Delicious and generously portioned. It was plenty for the two of us. I had the duck breast in a curry and a side of jasmine rice. (Here's a tip, be sure to get the rice. It is only $5.00 and is very good and you can sop up more of the curry sauce.) She had the spicy noodles. We both really enjoyed our entrees. We both had beers and she had a "High Tide" cocktail. The bill was $137.99. I think that was fair for the size of the salad and entrees.

It was our third time at Teakwood and it was very good! We loved the tea leaf salad, lemongrass beef and dungeness crab noodles!

We were disappointed this time. Though we are frequent regulars. The food needs to come at the same time! My companion got his hot food, and mine didn't come until 10 minutes later. Of course, being polite, he didn't touch his food until mine arrived, at which point his food was cold. We sent it back, and they made him a new hot plate, which is lovely, but then I waited for his food to return... Waitstaff should ask and know that parties should be served at the same time, even if it means keeping the food hot in the kitchen... Thank you. We love Teakwood.

Fun spot near Davies Symphony Hall - bistro atmosphere and lively energy. Our server, Jorge, was delightful and made us feel welcome and valued. The best things I had were the potato croquettes and the chicken satay, followed by a divine chocolate mousse dessert. My only wish was that the portions be a little larger, though I confess to having only appetizers. But, with a glass of wine, the bill was still over $60. Maybe I'm not up to date, but that seems a lot for what I got.

Great food and cocktails. We enjoy this place as a pre-event dining spot. The service is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed.

The ambience and food was really good! However, we went there to celebrate a friend's birthday, I mentioned that while booking the table and mentioned it to the host when I went there. No one remembered or cared. Then we secretly mentioned it to our server as well - who acknowledged it and immediately forgot about it again and instead just got us the check. It got to the point whece we had to ask them for the surprise celebration dessert in front of the birthday girl which pretty much ruined it. It's a really nice restaurant but they need to work on improving their service!

Perfect place for quick bites before symphony concert. Didn’t get a table when we walked in at 6:15 despite the fact that there were many empty tables. We were guided to the bar. Food was very tasty and the only issue was some of the peanuts in the tea salad were not fresh. Also when we felt the steak was too raw and asked if the dish could be cooked a little more, the guy who delivered the dish was obviously upset but he did take it back to kitchen after mumbling something about California law which we were not sure what he was talking about. The steak came back perfect. Hen of the wood/fried maitake mushrooms is a must try. Overall we enjoyed the meal and spent $135 for two people ordered two nonalcoholic drinks, three appetizers and one steak main dish. Portions are on the small side.

Fantastic food! The tea leaf salad is excellent. We shared the lemongrass steak which was delicious, especially with the garlic rice. The service was a bit disruptive and awkward, and the atmosphere quiet (although it was a Wednesday night). A great spot for food on a casual date night or dinner with friends, but less so if you’re looking for something elevated or vibey

Service was great and so was the atmosphere, but the tea leaf salad tasted quite flat. The Khao Soi and drinks were good, but I think I would prefer to go to Burma Love instead for the much more menu options and tea leaf salad.

It was great. I really appreciated the fact that they were able to swap the pad thai noodles with rice noodles, for my shrimp pad thai order.

Food was great, the teakwood box option was great choice for first timer. Definitely recommend going with that menu of it's your first time.

Only one complaint is they should have more staff to manage service. My friends and I went there 12/26 and the place got packed but only one server was there and can tell ther person got overwhelmed. The server gave her best despite the crowd size but one person alone to manage is too much.

Only the plata was good. The tofu in the garlic noodles was very hard (like beyond meat). Service was very slow (even though the place was not busy) and food was average. Waitress kept staring at us while we had to select tip amount. Would not recommend this place to anyone ever. Burma superstar and Burma love have way better food and service.

The food was a bit slow, but it tasted good. The restaurant itself looked pretty inviting and decorated.
