Good is delicious and they use the best ingredients. We love Andrew, Alex and Chef Wilson are the best. Ingredients are fresh and well priced. The food was so good I didn't have time to take any pictures. They always play great music too. One of the best sushi places.

Service was abysmal - 25 minute delay between myself & my dinner companion being served! Salmon was too salty.

This place is amazing. Total hidden gem. The sushi is delicious - maybe some of the best Hamachi Toro I’ve had in SF. The servers are so friendly, the vibe is comfortable and laid back. The ramen is also good. Garlic edamame is a must.

This review got knocked down due to customer service and prices. I originally was going to give it higher stars because the taste of the food is not the issue, the prices and rude attitude from the owner is. Seeing the menu is easy as they have a QR code on the table, just note the menu images on Yelp are fairly old and don't reflect current prices. When I was deciding what to eat, I was shocked at the prices. A California roll was $17 and other basic rolls like spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and Philadelphia were just as expensive. For reference, restaurants that are considered three or more dollar signs on Yelp and on the higher end do not charge as much for basic rolls. I'd expect to pay $17 for a speciality roll. Even places in more expensive neighborhoods charge around $8-12, and they use real crab. I'm just writing this so other customers are aware before being "bamboozled" like I was. I didn't appreciate being rushed to order (there was no one else eating there at the time) and the owner's rude attitude. The food itself is decent and their hours are very flexible, I would certainly come back if the prices made more sense. For the portion size in a casual setting, it is overpriced.

Really appreciate the passionate owner for this place. Had a conversation with him about the place and the food and he is very transparent about everything and it really makes you appreciate the hard work that goes into the restaurant. The food is solid and the restaurant is well decorated. I would recommend for the good vibes

Always good service. Udon and Ramen are excellent, as is the seaweed salad, sushi, and sashimi.

This is our second time at Tekka House - we love it here! We drive all the way from East Bay to enjoy the freshest fish - I don't eat any raw fish from just anywhere! Wilson, Alex and Andrew always provide the best service and we feel welcomed - which is noticeable by many other patrons too. I'd highly recommend you give them a try!!

Tekka House is one of my favorite sushi spots in SF. It's unassuming and fantastic. The staff are always so sweet, and their quality is top notch every time. Support small business and stop in anytime you're near Glen Park!

HIGHLY recommend Tekka House! The quality of the fish they serve is top notch - great flavor, texture and presentation. Also the truffle wagyu nigiri was the best wagyu we’ve ever had! A very delicious meal!!

Delightful neighborhood restaurant, especially for sushi! We walked in on a Friday night and didn't have to wait for a table. Our server was very polite and and offered great suggestions. We loved the agedashi tofu, but the sushi was exceptional. We mostly ordered nigiri with a yellowtail roll and a spicy specialty roll, but all of the fish was just fantastic and very fresh. The server explained the chefs follow a more specialized slow-preparation method for sushi and we definitely tasted the difference.

Great place to have in the neighborhood, with a wide variety of options on the menu. Sushi/sashimi, udon and ramen, and cooked dishes like teriyaki chicken. Something for everyone.Vegetarian options: Good variety of vegetarian options, clearly marked on menuKid-friendliness: We are always coming here with our kids and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere is very casual.

If you haven't tried it yet, what are you waiting for? I love all the dishes that are prepared by Chef Drew and his team. When I'm there, I will always get my sake in the big carafe to make sure it stays cold. Their fish selection is always fresh and a wide variety. Always ask what is their special fish that night! The ambiance is very friendly and cozy. A must try sushi spot!
