I used to live across the street and there was always a line out the door , when I looked out my window. I finally tried it on a night when the line was low. Chef was really friendly, been there since the 1970s and told me stories about San Fran.
SF local here! I'll cut right to the chase - the sushi is absolutely delicious and the best i've had in the city, hands down. The fish is fresh, the atmosphere is intimate, and the price is extremely reasonable for the quality you get. I'll definitely be coming back!BTW was told to leave it a 1 star to keep it hidden but couldn't get myself to do it!!
Highly recommend the sashimi combo. Very fresh. It contains about 20 pieces of different sashimi. Usually two pieces for each.The eel nigiri is also excellent.Worth every penny you paid.They recently changed the dinner time. Instead of 6pm, they started at 5pm. The second round starts around 7:30.Maximum 10 persons for each round. But sometimes the owner has friends who reserved seats so it’s possible that the actual available seats are less than 10.
