The atmosphere is good, the tables and chairs are crowded, the only downside is that the food isn't like it was two years ago, the portions are very, very small and the flavors aren't as good as they used to be after they changed the chef, not recommending this place if you're aiming to fill two people up for 100 bucks

Not particularly authentic, but the food still tastes good if you're not in search of authenticity! Also very well-priced for SF.

Terra Cotta Warrior
📍 2555 Judah St, San Francisco, CA 94122
I’ve never forgotten it after eating Laotai Liu’s Tongguan Roujiamo and Lamb Momo in Neihu in Taiwan. This is a restaurant in San Francisco’s Sunset District that specializes in steamed buns and noodles!
We ordered
Biang Biang noodle with Tomato Egg
Gravy
Spicy Sliced Beef
Silky tofu with preserved eggs
Chinese Burger Stuffed with Cumin Lamb
Clear lamb soup with one pita bread on the side
Overall give🌟🌟🌟🌟
The price is cheap and the portions are quite large, but the location is a bit remote~

The Terra Cotta Warrior was a coincidence as we were looking for another restaurant but couldn't find it. The service was friendly and not intrusive. The food was plentiful and really very good.

The man with glasses and a mask with his nose exposed was impatient. He didn't give us menus when we sat down. We took them from the table next to us. He also missed some items when we ordered.

I first visited Terra Cotta Warriors during their soft opening years ago, and it was love at first bite. The authentic flavors and attention to detail in every dish had me coming back regularly. Unfortunately, over time, the quality seemed to decline. Whether they ran out of dishes or the flavors just weren’t on par with those early days, I eventually stopped going altogether.
Recently, I found myself back in the area and decided to give Terra Cotta Warriors another try. To my surprise and delight, the food was not only back to its original glory but even better than I remembered. Every dish was flavorful, well-prepared, and reminded me why I fell in love with this place in the first place. I’m thrilled to have rediscovered my love for Terra Cotta Warriors, and it’s once again one of my top spots in the neighborhood!

I love this neighborhood and want to support local restaurants but man, I am so disappointed. Everything tasted one dimensional and made in a rush.
Tofu dish tastes like someone took it out of the fridge and quickly squirted oyster sauce all over, thinking it would be adequate. Disgusting.
Burger was sooo dry. I thought about taking a photo, but I didn’t want to be harsh. Don’t think it was seasoned with anything other than salt.
The noodle soup tasted like something someone cooked for the first time.
Service was cold. Gave us tea cups but never even offered any water or tea.
Menu looks great though. What a shame.

Place is so tasty. Think they make their own noodles. My ex-gf from Shanghai said its her favorite chinese food in SF.

The owner, I can only presume, is cold and impatient as if serving is beneath him. Hire more waiters if you don’t want to serve. I felt more warmth from those food serving robots at the self-order restaurants. If available, I would prefer to pay much more to eat elsewhere, if I can find similar types of food. No matter how good the food is, bad services at this place ruins the overall experience.
