The liangpi was way too thick compared to authentic Shaanxi cuisine, and the biang biang noodle was not chewy enough. The flavors of sauces were good though but 80% of what makes Shaanxi cuisine good is the texture of the noodle.
Really really great food- flavorful and with just the right amount of spiciness that you can taste and feel but that doesn’t overwhelm the dishes. Inside is cozy and intimate and service staff were very friendly. Also, all of it is at a great price for dining out- was able to have two drinks, two appetizers and two entrees for under $75 after tip. Will definitely be coming back!

I’ve never forgotten it after eating Laotai Liu’s Tongguan Roujiamo and Lamb Momo in Neihu in Taiwan. This is a restaurant in San Francisco’s Sunset District that specializes in steamed buns and noodles!
