Great time was had with our larger group after pride this year on Saturday! We didn’t have to wait for anything, beer was great, food came out fast and delicious, and the bartender was so helpful to our group! Would love to go back and hang out in the chill atmosphere.
Fun space with well curated yet broad beer selection, attentive and hardworking staff, and tasty bar bites (olives, truffle popcorn). Would return.
Only one bathroom and very little space for moving around. Good beers.
Visiting from out of town (Boston) and I wish we had a bar with the same vibes as this place. The food and beer were immaculate and the servers super friendly. I especially loved the wings and the “Rosti & Roe.
Beer Hall in San Francisco is a great spot if your primary goal is to enjoy a cold, well-crafted beer with friends in a relaxed setting. The ambience is casual and inviting, making it an ideal hangout for groups looking to unwind after work or kick off a weekend. The beer selection is solid, with a rotating tap list that covers a wide range of local and regional brews IPAs, lagers, stouts, you’ll likely find something to match your taste.
However, the experience was a bit mixed when it came to service and food. During our visit, the place seemed severely understaffed, and the few servers available were clearly overwhelmed. Wait times were long, and getting anyone’s attention took a while. While we empathize with staffing challenges, it did affect the overall experience.
The food was another downside. They were out of most of the menu items by the time we ordered at around 6 pm, and the few available options weren’t very impressive. Flavors were underwhelming, and it didn’t feel like the kitchen matched the quality of the drinks being served.
That said, if you’re just looking for a place with good beer and laid-back vibes to chat and chill, Beer Hall still works well. It’s not the spot to come hungry or expect attentive service, but it does deliver on the basics of craft beer and community atmosphere.
With better staffing and food consistency, this place could really shine.
Great service, everything was explained really well, and when asked to try one, they brought me two to try (both were delicious). If I was local, this would be my go to place! Loved the Hard Kombucha

Needed a place to meet up before a show Civic Center Plaza. It’s a great location as it was only a few blocks away. It’s across the street from Bill Graham too. The food menu was a hit more limited than what was on their website. The panini was really delicious but they need a bit of time to make it. Great beer selection so we got to try some new brews.

We spent an excellent couple of hours here sampling beers we’d never tried before. The bar server was friendly and knowledgeable about the beers on tap. We had a chat about us using Waymo the driverless taxi service to get there.
Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended

Great stop for a beer. Excellent selection and close to the civic center for a pre show drink.
