I’m from out of town, and this isn’t my first time visiting The Bird. It’s a nice place, and I’ve had good experiences here before, but when it gets busy… that’s another story. Things tend to get shuffled, orders are missed, and food ends up misplaced.
As an autistic person, I usually avoid ordering online because I can barely customize my food the way I need to, I order in person instead. Even though I did, my order was missing items this time, and what I did receive didn’t match the pictures or descriptions.
It was really upsetting to finally sit down expecting everything to be in the bag, only to realize items were missing. I didn’t feel comfortable checking the bag in the store because the crowd, the noise, and the overall overstimulation made me feel rushed, and since the bag was packed tightly, it was also hard to look through it without causing a scene.
Overall, I’m just frustrated. I really want to enjoy this place when we come from out of town, but the experience when it’s busy and paying $50+ and items missing, makes it difficult.
I ordered some loaded fries and I kid you not, there is a drop of sour cream.
