Although a sort of incident happened, but I appreciate the manager’s hospitality and kindness. I will come here again.

One of the proper dive/neighborhood bar with pool tables and fuse ball on second floor.. Definitely has some soul in it…

It was my first time going in there, and the service was awesome even though they had a big football game thing going on they made sure I was comfortable for my to go order. I ordered the better in simpler and they made it just the way I liked it and substituted the things that I didn’t like without any hesitation, I will be going back there

This is me and my friends' neighborhood bar - and some of us don't even live in the neighborhood! Super friendly staff who we know by name, great trivia on Tuesdays, tasty pub grub and just a comforting homey atmosphere.

This place has surprisingly good food at great prices! The drinks are super affordable, too. They have calamari on the menu, and I'm not mad at it. I order it often, actually.Nothing fancy here, so if you're a cocktail person, you'll be disappointed. However, they will make you one if you ask. Keep it simple. The bar staff are awesome. Seriously. They're the best. You can sit and chat or go upstairs and play pool. There are also tables and a fireplace in the corner, so you can work or read if that's your style.Overall, it's a great neighborhood spot for an easy night and some food.

Super chill spot. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the neighborhood. They have 2 pool tables upstairs. Unfortunately they were out of chalk when we were there.. Definitely affected my game.. good times and vibes.

We have made The Bitter End our New Years Eve final destination so many years in a row...that we can actually remember. There may be a stop at All-Star Donuts on the stumbling meandering way home but many a night, this is where we sit or play darts or billiards with family & friends.

New owner - and friend - bought Thr Bitter End so we went to support his success! Had a couple of beers and a delicious Shepherd Pie. Good friends, festive atmosphere, ice cold beer and deee-licious Shepherd Pie. What could be better?! The Bitter End is a great neighborhood bar and San Francisco mainstay.

By far the best bar in San Francisco. There are no words to describe Martina and the important conversations you’ll have with her. She’s the kind of person you’ll be thinking about for a long time after your first encounter. The bar is so unique with its mezzanine level, pool tables, darts boards and amazing selection of whiskeys. We were sad to leave this place at the end of a long and beautiful night, but we’ll be back for sure. Thank you Martina, for everything xxx

Fantastic bar! A Tuesday night playing trivia (hosted by Zuba I think fun guy) and the Bartenders killed it and the vibes were great. Food was 10/10 and drink were just perfect. They let my friend go on aux and play some bops. The people around us were great, service was so quick with food, and seriously the bartender(Irish man? w/ white hair) was so attentive! Quality night!!

Dive bar, for sure. Fun place but you won't find amazing food or fancy cocktails.

I came in with an out of state ID and they refused my entrance; claiming my ID was fake. Ironically used it to fly twice in the last month. Almost positive the security gaurd with a Red Cap on 6/24 lied about being manger. If he was a manger; he was incredibly rude and incompetent. If you’re a tourist/have an out of state ID avoid this place like the plague.EDIT: my group of 10 left the bar immediately after the rude and unprofessional treatment; walked 5 minutes to Lost Marbles bar and they were incredibly kind, had amazing cosmos and lemon drops, and super homey and had a much more open space.
